  1. I removed the wheels and took them to a tire shop with a old bubble balancer after I removed the brake drums but they could not set them on the machine the man told me. I live in western PA but I never tried to spin balance the wheels.
  2. Looking for some way to secure winglet mirrors to the windshield brackets. Brackets were sent out to be chromed by my restoration company and they were returned to me with no rubber material left on to secure the mirrors. Also some appear to be uneven halves to attach them. Thanks
  3. I have a front end shimmy at about 40 mph. Several years prior I could do 50 mph with no shimmy. I planned on checking my front end alignment but got sent to the hospital for a couple months. I've tried crystals in my tubes with no luck . Seems like I can't get into the tube no matter what I try. Wonder if I could use a liquid tire sealer and balancer I used on my motorcycle wheels? I tried removing the valve core and using air with a piece of wire moving the wheel around but nothing worked. Looking for another option. Thanks

  8. Good News, The oil temperature regulator is soldered, reinstalled and leak checked and working again. Thanks for all the advise, but I always try harder, just my nature I guess. Denny
  9. Thanks Pete, I'll look for a boat supply store, but I'm trying some special solder first and keeping my fingers crossed.

  11. Thanks for the help. If I wanted to bypass the regulator would I remove the lines and cap the lines off at the block. I might give it one more try with some special aircraft solder I guess I would make a line that would run between the lower fittings on the block. Thanks again, Denny
  12. Need Help I developed a oil leak under the oil temp regulator for my 1931 straight eight engine. It seems to be coming out between the fitting witch is steel and the body of the regulator were the oil line attaches to. I tried J&B Weld epoxy dried for six hours with no luck. Any other remedies that I can use. Thanks Denny,
  13. Thanks, I never thought to check Bob's. I already ordered them, now Ill see how they are secured. I wish everything else I did on this car was as easy. Thanks again Dennis
