  1. That's for a chevy Deb. I need 4 for a mid 60's Olds. I'll try and get a picture for you.
  2. Hi Debby.I bought some dog dish hubcaps from you last year and they were beautiful. I'm now looking for dog dish hubcaps for a 66,67 442, or any small dog dish cap from those years. I'll try and get a picture of them. Thanks in advance for looking. They are approx 10 1/2 inches across in the back.
  3. Hi Debby. I'm looking for a set of dog dish hubcaps for a 66,67 Olds 442. They would fit the 14" steel wheel. I bought some for a chevy quite awhile ago and were very pleased with them. I believe they are 10 1/2" across in the back. Thanks..
  4. Ha!! Both my sister and myself learned to drive and took our drivers test in a 1964 British racing green 4-door corvair, auto, tan interior. Nice little car.
  5. My buddy's 1968 427 corvette, tri-power, 4-speed. Brans new car, yellow, white convertible top, chrome side pipes. Also the fastest car I've ever been in.... He still has it!
  6. Just saying there might be an owner somewhere, but it doesn't sound like they are interested in her at all, if they are still kickin'.I've seen people get their butts kicked because they were taking parts off of "abandoned cars. But then again, I've had people say, "help yourself". You just have to be mindful of what you do..
  7. My 38 willys gasser, my 2 1967 GTO's, my 69 corvette, all of my Nova's, my 69 442, and my 1971 Chevelle. Not to mention my 34 Ford, 40 Ford, and my 41 Ford. Alas, my 40 Olds, 49 Plymouth, and my 57 bel Air...
  8. I have the same type of film strips, though they are about 41 Dodges. I gave away 1 strip to a fellow car lover who just happened to have a beautiful 41 Dodge coupe. I knew he would appreciate it.
  9. You can get my 40 olds for alot less than that...
  10. As I stated, I have headers on my 69 Nova, BUT... I also have a set of stock cast iron manifolds in the basement, just in case.....
  11. Headers are fine in most cars. I have headers on my 69 Nova with no problems, other than excess heat in the engine compartment. As for noise, no concerns there. You might get a starter heat-soak problem with headers, though. If you do decide to go with headers, get a GOOD exhaust gasket for them. I do not recommend the cheap, white gasket from Mr. Gasket. They'll burn through in a short matter of time.
  12. Hello to all responding to this thread. I recently purchased a set of 4 hubcaps from Debelle, and they are all she claimed them to be and more. I'm VERY critical, and these caps were/are beauty's!! The hubcaps were shipped very timely, and were well packed.Buy with extreme confidence from Debby; she'll do you no wrong... And thanks again Debby!!
  13. I worked at a Mobil station back in the 60's. I remember well the ding dong, and had to drop what I was doing to put gas in a car. I had to check the oil, clean the windshield, and anything else the operator needed. We gave out S&H green stamps, 2 small stamps for every gallon. If the driver didn't want the stamps, we took off 2 cents per gallon. I also had a tiger tail sticking out of my dads 65 Impala gas neck. Back to the Mobil station, at 1 time we also gave out small drinking glasses, and pieces of the US, you stuck on a map. We used to go through the box of game pieces looking for instant winners, and when we had enough, we would send out one of of buddies to "Carols", the hamburg place, for supper.
  14. My wife picked out the color for our 69 Nova, black sapphire metallic, and we've never looked back. It's a stock GM color, and I can go to any Advance Auto and get a rattle can for it. The color also is a close copy of what was used in 1969.
  15. Your car, your money... Paint it any color you want.
  16. Years ago I "found" a 41 chevy coupe, complete except for the front fenders and hood. It was sitting in a old orchard and was someones clubhouse as there were playboy magazines and such in her. I pulled her out and brought her through 2 more orchards until I got her close to my buddy's house. It sat there for a while, and a friend was interested in cutting her up for a modified stock car. As the coupe body was a little large for him, he didn't want it. To my knowledge it's still there. There's also a 57 chevy wagon there, as well as a 53 ford, a 60 rambler, and my 55 deSoto with hemi. They were all lot cars, we drove the bee-jeepers out of them. The 53 ford was gorgeous, not a mark on it, as well as the rambler.
  17. Everythingyou've stated is exactly correct. My procedures are the same, and in fact, you have the same blaster AND separator as I have...
  18. Not a junkyard find but I bought a 1955 DeSoto, with hemi, for $10 bucks for a field car. Drove it home, about 5 miles, no plates... I still owe the guy $5 bucks as I was short 5.
  19. I don't wash them, period. My Nova hasn't seen water in 15 years, and my 40 Olds doesn't see water either. I keep them covered, waxed, and use a CA duster. In fact I have 2. If I get some bug juice on them, I use a cleaner such as Meguires.
