The truck is owned by a foriegn national anbd I'm trying to help him out. I am in Chicago, and it is located in North Carolina. The gent holding the trucks in North Carolina has to help pull some weight to get this accomplished.

Wanted, A good used or N.O.S. Ross Steering Gear Box. Model S-22. Fits a 1937 White truck, maybe other car and truck brands. Does anyone know the Hollander Interchange on this model S-22? Thank you. -marty

Spot on analysis. Add a Brown-Lipe aux. trans with a .73 overdrive. Model # 5831. Note, there are some Brownie models that only have a direct drive or a .85 overdrive. The 5831, 5831-A, and the 5831-E are the aux. box models w/ the .73 O/D. Be sure to mount the aux trans w/ a slight slant to prevent vibration.

The rear door hinges look very similar to K, L and R model cab door hinges. Have you tried to interchange them?

KB-8, 1947-49., earlier K models did not have the stainless strips.

There was a cab manufacturer started by Mr. Hertz, of the car rental fame. It was called Yellow Cab cars and trucks. They had some models with headlights mounted on the cowl. Larger International Harvester trucks of the 1920's had cowl mounted headlights. -M
