  1. Front fenders sold. Other parts still available
  2. Hi Curt Is that the Delux rumble seat coupe that you are now the owner of? That car was for sale with the same pictures about a year ago. I'm working on a 1930 CK like that. Good luck with your move. Rick
  3. To Monsebar I have sent you 2 private messages, with pictures and price for shipping, to both email addresses and have not had a response. If you are still interested, please let me know, otherwise I will give the next interested party the opportunity
  4. Sorry, I can't help you with those items. Only the items listed. Have sent a PM to monsebar and am waiting for a response. As of now they are still available.
  5. Sorry, no cowl lights or map light covers. Have been away on vacation. Will email guage pictures in PM
  6. Hi Mike Sorry I haven't replied earlier. I've been away on a long overdue vacation in the sun. The running board bracket would be the same as the 30 DeSoto, but at this time I can't help you. If I come across something I will let you know. Rick
  7. I will give opportunity on the guages in order of interest shown. Steering column assembly is sold. Large engine parts have gone for scrap. No interest shown.
  8. I would really like some suggestions as to restoring a 1930 Chrysler steering wheel. It had some cracks on the bottom side around the hub which I have repaired with 2 part epoxy. I would like to coat the whole wheel with something to seal it up. Is there a special coating for this or would a 2 part epoxy paint do the job? It would not have the same feel as the original, so I'm wondering what others have used. Thanks for your help
  9. The Chrysler CJ (which i presume to stand for Chrysler Junior) is the small version Chrysler almost identical to the 30 DeSoto CK. Both had a 109" wheel base, body panels were interchangeable, engine parts were mostly interchangeable. (heads, manifolds etc) The CJ had a narrow radiator shell with the adjustment in body length being made up in a slightly longer hood, but with the same 3 set louver pattern. The CJ had a 1/8" longer engine stroke and no timing chain (like the DeSoto/Fargo Packet engine) giving it a slightly larger displacement than the DeSoto and presumably more durability. It was definitely a different car than the "66".
  10. Here are your measurements from outside to outside at front spring perches 27 1/8" at rear of radiator support 29 1/4" at center of back spring support 30 3/4 at front of bell housing 32 1/4" at center of first cross member 34 5/8 at center of rear cross member 38 1/4 This is from a 1930 DeSoto ck 109" WB which should be identical to your CJ Hope this helps
  11. Hi Jay I'll try to send you some pictures tomorrow. What year is the model 74 that you are going to reproduce? I can't find that model # in my 70 years of Chrysler book. I believe the hardware that I have is late 28 early 29. It is different than my 1930 DeSoto hardware. Rick
  12. Sorry, no locks. Could use a set of locks and tire hold down clamps myself.

  16. I have a Stromberg UR23 updraft carburetor for sale. It is in very nice condition and have used it on a 1931 Chrysler engine. I believe it is correct for a 1931 Studebaker Dictator. Asking $200.00
  17. New brake hoses readily available. Check ebay
  18. It would be good if we all paid some attention to the date of the original post. I posted these parts for sale almost two years ago. The only 1929 Chrysler 65 parts that I still have are the engine , silverdome 6 complete, transmission, starter, Stewart warner vacuum tank, and a couple of carter b&b updraft carbs (clean but need a rebuild) Could try to post pictures if there is some interest. Price is negotiable
  19. Can anyone help? I need 3 screw/bolts that hold the front door hinges to the door post. The screws are somewhat unique. They would be approximately 3/4 - 1 1/4 inches long, have a tapered head for a slotted screwdriver and have a 5/16 NF machine thread. It could be that the same screw was used for many other Chrysler years and models that have the two part hinge with the pin. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
  20. Hi Marty You are right. My car is a 1930 CK Canadian made rumbleseat coupe. Seems like the longer we play with these old cars, the more we learn. That is probably why it is a great hobby. I did not know that the 1930 ck roadsters and phaetons still used the wood frame body structure. Thanks for the info Rick
  21. You guys are great! The 1930 DeSoto trough must have drained into the body cavity, but I guess Chrysler tried to fix some of the rustout problem by adding drains to the trough in 1931. The water that ran off the rear of the deck lid landed on a piece of sheet metal that splashed it to the back of the body cavity and drained out of the corners. My suspicion is that the sheet metal trough under the back window also drained into the side of the body near the rear quarter panel. I will be installing drain tubes from all three locations and put a good coating of rust proofer on the inside of the body. Only want to repair that sheet metal once in my lifetime. If there is any other information out there , please pass it on. We do have the occasional rainy day up here, and I want to drive the car when it is finished. Marty, my '30 doesn't have any wood in the rear floor area. Just the sheet metal piece screwed down over the floor in the gas tank area. I never really knew that it was for water, as it was quite rusted. Thanks, Rick
  22. Any pictures? What about the rumble seat? or did the back of the body just fill up with water and rust out when drain holes got plugged up with road dirt?
  23. I am looking for some information on water drainage in 1929, 1930, 1931 Chrysler made coupes with rumble seats. The crankdown window in the back of the cab has a galvanized sheet metal catch pan for any water that drips down from the window. The catch pan is not level, and drains the water to one side. Is there supposed to be a drain that directs the water out of the body? The rumbleseat lid rests in a trough that ends on both sides just before the hinge point. Is the back of the body just a wet panel that drains the water out at some point? Does anyone have some information? I have almost all the books available on the early Chrysler made coupes, and none have any information on this. I am in the process of paint and final assembly, and any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated Thanks Rick VanOene
