  4. re- wiring my 37 dodge, upgrading to 12 volts. the question I have is can I run a negative ground on this car with the original starter? I have done this with n old allis chalmers tractor, but It appears that I have a direct short due to the starter. I did an up grade to a 12 volt starter solenoid and voltage regulator and alternator. Will I need a new starter? if so where can I find one . Thanks

  10. Has anyone put an old school dodge v8 in a 37 dodge coupe, small block or an RB block. The reason I am asking is I have never converted an old coupe to a v8. Just asking to see what unforeseeable problems I am going to run into, like cutting the fire out, can I use the original steering column? If ya have any suggestions I would like to hear from you. I plan on using a auto trans with a dana 20 rear axel. thanks RT
  11. Say I am new to the old coup world and need a little help. I want to put an old school dodge motor in this dodge, like a 340 small block or an rb block and wondering what's a good choice as what will clear the original steering column, or do I need to replace it and do I need to cut away the fire wall to fit an automatic tranny. It appears that there is room for a big block dodge but I don't want any surprises. If anybody has done one of these cars I would greatly appreciate it thanks rt
