  1. Interesting, only one mention of a pre war car. What happened?
  2. Still looking any leads appreciated especially for the pump, thanks
  3. Sorting out parts for my estate sale and came across these. One unmachined casting the other appears complete and refurbished at one time. If interested let me know. John Kelso
  4. Model T coil tester when I was 13, $50 hard earned, still have it.
  5. You may want to consider other options that would have been available for your Brooks.

  8. If that is the same as 29 I have the radiator and gill you are looking for. Also a set of nice rear fenders and golf door and lock. That is all I have. Am located 60 miles west of Carlisle.
  9. Perhaps a bit more complicated than that. I once had a 10HP car that had been cut down and modified to run at the Pomona, Ca. race track in the late teens early 20's.
  10. That car had a 30" boiler and 30" slotted burner
  11. Yes it was a sock chassis with most of the body and sheet metal. A few engine parts missing, better than most of the things he had there. It went to the Pasadena area, I know this because I owned a 1/2 interest in it
  12. My recollection was it was a model A Duesenberg and it was in the basement of his house. Much more than just a chassis. Went to the LA area but not to Leno at that time.
  13. I feel its a bit way overpriced, but I'm frugal. I agree with Kelly. Go down to Marks and buy that 10 HP car he has, great car, great buy, great guy, less money.
  14. Here is a scan from my 36 manual. If you can confirm that 38 is the same I most likely have the parts you need on a spare chassis. John
  15. 37hd45 my 1917 Pierce has all the wiring in tubing, even the battery cable and its not Lucas
  16. I recall Ray Therault had a set of gears on his Hershey table, not sure of the year. You can contact him through the LOC.
  17. Steve and John I agree, what a great preservation car or car to preserve. (no comment on price either) Shame they wouldn't consider helping a younger person get started in this hobby.
  18. Here is what happened when the previous owner left water in my car. Did I mention not a cheap repair job. Fortunately the 3rd cylinder wasn't this bad.
  19. This is probably going to get me in trouble but it will not be the first time, I have broad shoulders. You guys working out of tight quarters, making do, and adjusting to the needs of your restoration, even working out of your goat shed, I restored part of my first Model T in a chicken coupe. You are the life blood of our hobby. The post from the expensive show in Florida, that🙃's the belly fat
  20. They are really tough on Cadillac's, Howard Hodson in England was part of the Cadillac team some years ago. You can find his contact info in the HCCA roster, he also submits articles in the Gazette. May be worth talking to him about your car.
