I bought the last one Steve Dole had and UPS  LOST it somewhere between California and Georgia. That’s when my friend  Brad started having them fabricated but has sold all he had made. Let me know if I need to nag him into having more made.

Please feel free to forward my thoughts.....

Bob, I had considered it but wanting to keep the 54 Buick feel with bias ply, sway bar etc. I did not make the purchase.  I still drive it like I stole it though!

Yea, if you want the true experience then why change it....even incrementally?

"Might as well" is a powerful force, its hard to see it in real time but there comes a time when you realize you may be chasing something you dont need or even want.

  3. It was meant to be used....finally found a home!

As to a previous statement about parts availability, I continue to be happily surprised how many parts are so available for my 54. My parts guy at a local shop loves when I walk in...he gets to look for interesting things but really they end up too easy most of the time.

  4. I may have missed it in this thread but insurance for damages is a very important thing to know prior to transporting.

What is the value of the car? Bill of Sale or Market Value in your area?

I had a recent run in with bad damage, I got lucky...the carrier is taking care of the full repair costs which will exceed the value of the car. I could have been screwed for thousands.

  5. I'm glad you all are enjoying it. Hopfully it will be useful with your projects..............Bob

I don't think any of us can comprehend what a thread like this will mean to so many over so many years. I can go back to some forums that I posted on 15 years ago, I can only wonder how long your words and images will help throughout the ages.

  6. Love the term "Sub Goals" = Eating an Elephant one bite at a time.

That is a major hit in the process that many of us first time dreamer wannbe restorers gets stuck on....that mountain that develops in front of us that seems suddenly impossible to climb.

......like others have said, this will be an archive for guys like me.

Thank you for taking the time to document it here.
