  1. That might not be good!
  2. Thanks Dave straighting me out on your pics!!!! Thats good the OP won't have to deal with that complicated shifting.
  3. My MoPar Master parts book shows part #681544 screw used from 1928-1954 for all six cyliunder car lines. Not that it matters.
  4. I didn't see all your pics. I do see the brownie trans and the mechanical rod shifted rear end! You will have fun driving and shifting that truck! You better find an old (90 or older) log truck driver to start teaching you how to shift just in case you miss a shift on a long up hill run! Plenty of levers to play with while driving. Worse than texting while driving...HA HA HA:D.
  5. Are you saying the truck has a auxillary (brownie) and a Eaton 2 speed rear end? The Eaton 2 speed are really tough and take lots of abuse. The Eaton as is in your WH shift and worked great if the controls are in good working order. .
  6. I'm 100% with Joe. I did the wood on my 48 T&C in 1980 and it still looks great 34 years later! I used McClosky's Spar Varnish. Thinned the 1st two coats with turpentine and then sprayed 4 full coats. Bob
  7. I love the 1950-52 Chrysler hardtops. I also have a 50 NewYorker just like Jays car. Someone should restore that 51 Hemi hardtop. They are a rare and unusual car.
  8. They are for C46/C47/C49 and C50 Certain model lines,1949-50 Chrysler.

    New car thread

I leave my old shoes hanging outside for six months and the linings are laying on the ground. Moisture can de-laminate old shoe linings
  10. My god here we go again!!!! Use a big hammer, be a big man and swing hard!
  11. A 1942 DeSoto business coupe I used to work on here in seattle was sold to Europe 10 years ago too. I suppose mine will end up there too.
  12. Nothing wrong with the quiet factory oil bath air cleaner.
  13. Swing that hammer like framer too! No pansy men needed here!
  14. The two tail lights are for a 41 chrysler.
  15. 20 years later and a piece at a time off Ebay, Frank $$$$ Mitchell, Len Dawson ect. I finally have all NOS non Korean chrome for my 1952 New Yorker. 1950-52 chryslers are some of the toughest cars to find die cast chrome parts for. No after market chrome is available for your C51 Windsor. It will take time to find new if thats what your looking for. Old used pitted chrome is easily available watching Ebay sellers. They usually ask too much IMO. Good luck!
  16. Do it the right way. Don't damage the hub and drum. Don't cut the rivits.
