I've owned this since the late 70's. It's a BMW 315 that left the factory new as a rolling chassis as such a genuine custom bodied car not a re-body. Over the years I collected and made most parts to complete this. Some time ago gave it to these magic Hungarian guys to do the wood and bodywork …… only the rear fenders are new. Rest of the body is repaired. Main body and doors will be covered in leathette as original I'm so pleased with the results I thought to share these photos with you. Hope you enjoy them. http://www.simon-coach.com/the-projects Take time and look around the site please.

Belts like that are often used on old motorcycles……. I have several old spares for my 1913 Rudge Multi …….. alas none nice enough to go on the Ruxton. Put out the word to the early motorcycle guys you will find one

This is a bump….. how goes the progress? If you like I can now get the cam card, and send you the specs. We are back in Poland Not much happening …. my health is slowing me. I am beginning to go thru the mods to a 501 head to fit it to a prewar 327 engine. It's involves cutting the front of the head off and fitting a prewar water pump. Main advantage is the quench combustion chamber. If you find an old 501/6 engine they have a bunch of nice parts that fit into the prewar block…… all takes a buit of effort but the resulting power and reliability is well worth the effort

Honest if I let rain stop me I'd never go to a flea market here........ I am not made of sugar and don't melt in the rain. I am sorry for you guys that feel washed out.

I know way too much about BMW's history #1 is for Munich. I am told by a friend that they can't connect a name with the stamped number but I know the person was Polish. IF you ask the factory archive will tell you what they think the original colloers were. I say think because what the think is a production book is infact a sales book with some notes changed after production. AND Lacking some serial numbers

It's not about price...... it's about saving history. You must do what the car needs ....... This is why I stopped working on some cars. The owners just wanted the cheapest job so their profit was as high as possable. The job suffers and results, in terms of racing cars, are dangerous and substandard. Right now my magic Hungarians are doing a 1936 Diamond T Model 80 Deluxe Panel truck. All the wood was garbage. Some they have remade but in the doors, jams and rear box the wood is replaced with steel. When done you'll never see it but chances are the D-T will never be a rotten mess again.

Couple things: Isn't Texas like Nevada where the driver can carry a drink whiile driving as long as they aren't DRUNK? One hand driving seems to be OK Outfits like Car Facts list all body repairs thereby lowering the value of your car when some stupid jerk backs into you........ It seems that the number of idiots has grown as the safe and sane stay home

I still remember the lady on the evening news saying " I gave him the finger and he SHOT me!!" Please be careful out there. I drive a 35 ft Blue Bird Wanderlodge........ you learn to look for gutter runners thinking they won't get crushed by 30,000 lbs. People are just stupid sometimes. No schooling will make them any smarter

Sorry I don't have a TV

I restored racing cars for years now too old. Many people taught me tricks ...... I always pass them on to others. Thank God there are more young guys working metal each day. The Hungarian's are really good. They are ten hours from me
