  1. My thanks to Mr. Muntz for identifying my new baby as as a 23 Special Six conv. She has a great home and will be getting a wee bit of the fixing up. I am looking for a headlight and tail light, right side, for her. A conv. top is in order but I will craft the bows myself. I have the original top with sides for pattern but need to know materials for the top. (leather?!?) A right rear fender would be appreciated as well, the original is there, but a fine replacement would be considered. She deserves only the finest as she is original. Any help I can find would be greatly appreciated. An original color photo that shows brass and chrome, would be helpful. Thank you, a History. She was in the same family for the past 85 years. A friend at work was looking for a good home and found one. She has gone through WWII with Opppie, Bethe, Fermi and all of those that helped secure our freedom from tyranny. She has been to Harvard and is well educated, white hood to prove it.. She is all original and need of some love. She will never be hot rodded (if I can help it with my last breath), cut, channeled, SBC etc.. (with the utmost respect for the passion and the 49 Caddiford/Fordillac)....Sorry Rodders. She will be put back together with minimal change or she will tax my abilities (as a painter for 20 years) and seamstress (what ever that is) to appear minimally changed. She is getting a new fan belt so far and battery. She has an oil pump gear out of a 32 Chevy, machined to fit. New head gasket and rings installed by Nick (The 78 year owner). She has the factory wood spoke wheels with split rims (way cool) and a new set of tires from 1977. Most likely under 50K miles total but not sure. If you have a very compelling reason to fully restore her instead of showing her in her 86 year old glory, please let me know as I am open minded (but not so much as my brains fall out). Thanx a
  2. The SN I have found thus far is 3041293. If it is in your book that would be great. Thank you, a
  3. My apologies yes it is a Studebaker. I will look at the existing lens and see what information I can derive from it. I will measure the opening and re-post. for an 86 year old car it is very complete. The ASC directed me to this site for assistance. So thank you for your input.
  4. I have recently acquired a 23 Big Six (I think) and I am looking for a headlight lens and right rear tail light. Also any leads on an accurate conv top would be good as well as a serial number decoder. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. a
