1989 tc yellow - number 1309!!!which includes the super rare Original Maserati Umbrella looks and drives great and is in overall good condition.around 99kmiles on the clock, 4 Cyl.Chrysler Turbo ,current smog ( june!) new pcv valve,new oxygen sensor! hard top is in excellent condition,soft top in excellent condition - it was NEVER used by the previous original owners who bought the car new in 1989.Opera window on drivers side is foggy. air condition compressor works but the compressor clutch is bad ( $50 piece) new timing belt, timing adjusted last week,new fuel filter, oil,Battery from 2008,refurbished fuel injectors, new distributor rotor∩ and plugs good tires, 75%breakpads ,Original Maserati Floormats ,needs a passenger side headlight and cornerlight - headlight is still functional!- thats it! make some offers guys!

david....weeks!!!!! of throwing parts, weeks of no codes, putting in fuel pump and o2 sensor, replacing everything...and now this...fixed the metal plate wobbling with superglue...sticks to the plastic now ...and the car just runs fine...holy *(@(#*$.... that was the cheapest fix ever...thank you and everybody on this forum for input!! at least I fixed it... ( well...if it still has no issues after testdriving it for 20 minutes, I assume, its going to be allright...)

put in new o2 sensor....same issues... thats it - I quit..no more parts for that piece of ^#%#@& if you have no more advice....I did everything possible...

no codes - waiting for the o2 sensor in the mail to install it asap tomorrow! will let you know

I would even trade for a passenger side headlight and cornerlight unit

put a new fuel pump in today....same thing...after 5 minutes, the tc hesitates , chokes, lets the rpm's dance........

are we talking about the ignition coil?? I changed that 2 weeks ago!.....like I said...everything has been exchanged...

thanks sue...changed hep last week....original part....no change in symptoms...just ordered oxigen sensor...was wondering if it could be the EGR valve also..

update...exchanged fuel pump successfully with a brand new one.again - everything else was exchanged too!...except for the o2 sensor and the EGR valve... PROBLEM persists! can someone hand me a box of matches?? because I dont know what to do anymore

thanks david!..did not try talking to hemi ...checked grounds...all good...and changed hep sensor too...what really is interesting is the fact that it starts perfectly, runs great for 5 to 10 minutes...and then the rpm's start to dance and the engine cuts out..does not die yet ,keeps running...but the idling is very rough....when stepping on the gas its a little better...I still believe its the fuel pump...everything else is exchanged...

OK guys...I really need advice fast....now that I changed EVERYTHING,including new fuel rail, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, including a new throttle body with IAS and TPS, the tc still acts up after 5 minutes of driving...so it could only be WHAT>???????????? the fuel pump??? then why does it only appear if the engine is heated up a little?? could it be something else??? there are pumps on ebay for 65 bucks but it says they are for a 91 tc... does not make sense since they would fit the gas tank ( its the exact same gas tank for all years...) are the fittings different? would I have to drop the tank or can I just leave it on while switching the pump? please help!.

hey mark...checked...clean... connectors at fuel tank were corroded...cleaned them...was wondering if I can get the fuel pump out without dropping the tank...possible??

changed plugs, cables,rotor,fuel filter,cleaned fuel injectors,oilchange,battery is fine, replaced ignition coil nd hall effect sensor..after a couple of miles ( or maybe 11 minutes) engine stumbles...seems to miss a spark...getting worse..even in idle..a little better when I floor it... basically, the rpm needle is constantly dancing ( because it drops its rpm ) and here's the question...could it be a) the fuel pump the fuel pressure regulator? input please.... thanks guys!

another issue...my 89 tc's auto trans slips...but only in the first gear...is there any kind of liquid treatment I can put into my transmission thats safe and working?second and third are working great...first one only slips when NOT accelerating...weird?!

the bosch sensor has 4 cables and is square...the plug that is supposed to fit is oval and has 3 cables....how to convert and what to keep in mind...merge both black wires into one??? and just to make sure..we are talking about the one thats on the passenger side of the engine, visible close to the power steering...right?

hi there...got a bosch universal sensor ( part # is 13275 ) for the tc...has 4 cables , 2 whites, one black, one grey... should fit right in?!

no clue but will try to find out...
