  1. yep..its all normal...no coolant loss anywhere..but I remember that it actually never really came on since I bought it over 2 years ago....broken temperature sending unit maybe??
  2. forgot to post this...my radiator fan keeps running high a lot of times...never before reaching operating temp...but then it will come one...even if just the engine runs ( idles) in park...) any suggestions?? temp gauge is fluctuating a little from mid temp ( normal ) to a little over it...then getting lower than normal..radiator has no leaks, coolant is new..oil level is normal..transmission has just been replaced and trans fluid is normal ... any suggestions??
  3. hi again!...time to replace the brake pads on my 89 tc...read a lot about bleeding the system on this forum...but still, its a little unclear to me..where and how do I hook up my very funny looking brake bleeder kit? there should be an outlet on the rear brake assembly, right? or do I hook up the bleeder set to the master cylinder?? help! is greatly appreciated!
  4. just a little note...got the transmission rebuilt for 1200 including everything !and it works like a charm!
  5. 1150 for a perfectly rebuilt transmission is a good price I would say!
  6. my 89 auto trans just died...so now I am stuck with my great shape red tc and a yellow one with no passenger headlight that is in working condition.. who wants to buy both of em?? LOTS of new parts in the red one.... I hate to let them go but I am just sick of all the repairs
  7. okkkk...so actually the best thing would be to get a used transmission from a lebaron rather than rebuilding it?? I dont know if I should trust a rebuilt one.... then again, I have the other tc that nobody wants to buy...with a working transmission...but I dont want to do it myself..no way.... how much would a used trans cost? and is the lebaron version compatible?!
  8. hi there once again..the last day of the year and my automatic transmission just died in my 89 4cyl tc...only reverse and the 1st does work......what to do?? get it rebuilt?? and how much would that be?? or get a new one? or used one?? and how much would that be ?? happy new year to everyone...and of course to alan!
  9. tc has to go....I would say...1999 obo...its been sitting for a while and the smog certificate and tags are going to expire nov.14th...its in good shape, you just need a passenger side headlight...( its still functional)...I took it out for another tc... come on guys!

  12. neverending issues... now it died on me while driving... alternator itself is working fine...but the little capacitor mounted on the alternator itself broke in 2 parts...and the initial connection ( the big black connector thats connecting the alternator with the electrical system) has one broken off terminal... Is there ANY WAY to get that part?? ( I ordered the capacitor, its $10)... if not, somehow opening it up and re- establishing connection to the alternator....
  13. yes, this is a make offer thing..but I will state a price anyways...I want 2100 for it.......the kelly bluebook value for this car in fair condition is a little over $3000....mine is not in perfect condition because of the missing passenger side headlight and cornerlight...other than that...its clean , its nice...and I need the room in my garage...I am sick of parking on the street...

  15. is there any other way than a broken fuel pressure regulator or a leaking fuel injector for fuel to contaminate the oil in the engine>!!?

  17. yep, did start up right away put fuel still came out of the tailpipe...I suppose, its whatever is left in the system, right?! ( I let it run for less than a minute ...I want to make sure its all ok..)...any suggestions?! would you agree on remaining fuel that just comes out, now that its actually running?! the fuel pressure regulator works, the injectors dont leak, it does not smell like fuel in the engine compartment like before ( when I contaminated the oil with fuel due to the broken regulator)...would you let it sit for a while or let it run until there is no more fuel coming out of the pipe?
  18. guys...If I could afford to let it go for free, I would...believe me...but after all the work I put into it ( saving the next owner thousands of $$) I would have to say no to free... I was just wondering why there were no offers at all here , within our beloved forum... btw.it is registerd with current tags until november with a clean title and a perfect smog certificate!...you only need a passenger side headlight ( it was not in an accident!)

  20. indeed, a lot of fuel came out of the tailpipe... drained the oilpan today..it was just an unbelievable amount of fuel with a little oil in the engine...new fuel pressure regulator ( injectors are good) will put in oil tomorrow and give it a try...hope it will start!
  21. fuel contaminated the oil in the engine... HOW????? broken fuel pressure regulator? wont start either...fuel comes out the muffler instead... hurray....more things to solve again.....
