  1. hi there...my brakes work fine..but when tapping the brake p. , the brake&abs lights come on for a sec.. yep, I know, it could be the accumulator..or some internal leak... but could it als be caused by a little overfilled brake fluid reservoir??? also...there might be interference with my probably pinched cable in the steering column, causing a fuse to burn when cruze control is turned on and the blinker is used....so maybe it has also an effect on my abs&brake light... mhmmmm
  2. yep, got the stuff @ autozone...and done! no more schmoooking! I am lucky - for now I guess.. thanks again!
  3. though sell - I agree...I was referring to all these add ons as spectacular....
  4. thanks for the fast advice...so it can only be caused by that....ok...any specific brand ( name) for that sealer?!
  5. I was wondering if there could be another reason than dislocated valves to cause my tc to smoke ...only happens when started...never smokes when just stopping , idling ....
  6. rather spectacular... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrysler-Other-TAN-91Maserati-C-TC-A-pice-of-history-owned-by-Tuskegee-Airman-Mr-Freeman-/251593121539?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3a941e5f03&item=251593121539&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
  7. the perfect link for conversions : I found it http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/vehicle/1990-chrysler-tc--rear+turn+signal/12-1058--441111/
  8. new day, new issue ok...I need to find out if a cable is pinched that runs through the steering column.. ( cruise control, turn signal cables) could not find anything in the forum threads about the cover removal.. ideas?
  9. thats a good question...I would check all vacuum lines , regardless....and the fpr
  10. yep, saw that one...but thats a full conversion to LED...I was thinking of just replacing the bulbs with LED's not the entire strip...love the look! but I am also sure that I would get ticketed here in CA...
  11. hall effect plate? fuel filter? fuel pressure regulator? check distr. cap, cables and connections. vaccum leak?
  12. which brings me to my next question... did anyone ever convert the old bulb sockets with something that holds up to date LED's? I took out my taillights and gave them a good wash, inside out and buffed the outside -makes a big difference already..also replaced the oldschool bulbs with brighter blue bulbs...also much better in visibility... but to make em really bright, it could only be LED...
  13. yep...so after successfully rethreading the issue, put everything back together..test drove...saw some leakage...with engine running I fastened both bolts veeery carefully and dang... the new thread was f$^%&*@#(@#$( again...so I am f^#*$( ... I want to drive it off a cliff now
  14. OK!!! here we go...got fitting bolts....new gasket...sealant...want to screw it in...1 screw works...the other one does not...NO THREAD anymore...and thats the reason why there was a different and longer screw inthere to begin with.. I suppose I cant just switch out the waterbox...haha...so I need to have someone come over to rethread it...any other idea??!?!
  15. hi guys! it never ends.. after replacing thermostat and reinstalling the housing on the waterbox properly, there is still coolant seeping through it... got new gasket and want to replace the bolts now...one of them was replaced by a former owner and it is not the original..both of them dont look too good so I want to replace them... any idea WHERE I could get them?
  16. ahh..that sounds calming!...the 89 temp was mostly pretty much mid point all the time...thought I had a different problem here...but good to know that its in the normal range! thanks studedude!
  17. whoops..thought it saved the changes I made to my profile!..just checked..it did not!...( will try again) 1990 tc with the 3l mitsubishi engine...
  18. hey community! I can do a lot of repairs myself, but I will not touch the AC system...went to my mechanic next door to ask him how much he would charge to evacuate and retrofit the system...he says $300 for everything (convert to 134) and he also mentioned, that my AC hose ( coming from the firewall) is most likely leaking...so it would have to be replaced....GREAT!!!! soo....what is the part number on that? will a lebaron hose fit?! anyone has one? for some reason, could not find it on rockauto... I would like to get my ac going...its going to be a record triple digit summer here in LA....so it would be nice to have ac... hope anyone knows anything! and thanks in advance again!
  19. ok guys..new radiator, thermostat, temp sending unit and temp sensor..I would say, its a little better...
  20. ok guys..the new tc runs nice..better every minute...changed the temp sending unit ( which was sooo gone) changed the thermostat...I noticed temperature fluctuations...reaches normal temp then, climbs up to the next notch..when idling, takes 2 minutes to get to normal again... original radiator shows little green corrosion on top left and lower left so I suppose, the former owner added sealant to the fluid...thats why it is a little brownish...guess its best to get a new radiator...but which one of the 3 offered at http://www.rockauto.com?? could my issue be a result of a failing radiator?
  21. thanks david! so today, I finally changed the stuck thermostat...it took forever because some idiot replaced one of the two 7 mm metric screws with an allenhead screw...and both were baked in!..took me 30 minutes to get the sucker out...noticed that the coolant looked brownish...not good...will check tomorrow if there is any leakage...and if the temp gauge will show the correct temp...if not, maybe the temp sending unit has to be replaced also.....just in case I have to replace the radiator...can I just get the one from autozone for $99 ?? dont feel like getting a refurbished original ... this tc never saw any love...damn!.. yes, pics will follow!
