  1. just got the fuel injectors today...but they dont look like the original ones....would they still work?! http://www.ebay.com/itm/161804246668?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  2. digger!!! thanks so much for that hint! will check out rockauto right away!!! would it be advisable to change all 6?
  3. did not have an issue for a long time... check engine came on, engine stuttered..got code 1226 (INJ 1 PEAK CURRENT) high resistance condition detected in the INJ 1injector bank circuit..checked cables first and saw that cylinder 1 spark plug cable disconnected..also, the cyl 1 spark plug was loose to the point where it only took a quarter turn to be removed..put it all back together...drove 2 miles...everything good..then same issue...this time, took out all spark plugs, cleaned them, exchanged all spark plug cables and distributor cap..checked for vac leaks... same thing...check engine and code 1226...I have no more ideas....and I need help...what exactly does INJ 1 peak current mean? do I need new injectors? anyone??
  4. I exchanged some interior lights with it...looks good so far!..and $1 something/per "bulb", not really expensive..
  5. anyone? bueller??? oh, that many!....lol
  6. hey there! anyone has any experience with front LED conversion kits? and/or LED versions of our beloved double filament rear bulbs? I would really like to exchange those for those bright LED versions..... anyone?
  7. anyone has an idea where the oil could be leaking ( when you look at the pics?) I cleaned away all the visible oil smudge so far and will have to check again after driving if I see something suspicious...
  8. would that be sufficient?? http://www.autozone.com/emission-control-and-exhaust/catalytic-converter/walker-new-york-catalytic-converter/chrysler/tc-maserati-import/1990/6-cylinders-s-3-0l-fi/275228_750937_5320/
  9. thank you everybody for all your input!..seems like the metallic noise comes from the catalytic converter - when you tap it, it sounds like something is loose inside! so I guess its not the waterpump...tried cleaning the oil mess a little and was not really able to determine the source...took a bunch of pics so you could probably tell me right away what the deal is...btw: oipl pressure switch looks superdry! timing belt has no cracks and feels elastic when fingernail testing it...so far, so good....
  10. did not check the oil pressure switch yet..but while I am at it...which correct waterpump would it be for my 1990 3L >?
  11. will check that out...if its the switch, wouldnt I also have oil pressure fluctuations ? it reads normal!..what else could it be?!
  12. hi fellas! its me again...I am loosing oil..about half a quart every 2 months or so..I can see that the valve cover has a minor leak..and when I look underneath the engine, boy its f)()%*$ oily downthere so hard to tell where exactly the leak is located. any hints where it usually should be from experience? I defin. need a valve cover gasket and an oil pan gasket.. but what else?
  13. hello to all my TC friends again...this time, I chose to change the speakers ( door and rear upper speakers) in my 89 TC, I just ran new cables to a new stereo and everything was peachy...this time, I changed the radio to a Sony DSX-S310BTX MP3/CD Player In Dash Receiver ( the best thing you can have - bluetooth connectivity and an ipod or iphone than can be hidden inside the actual radio) and kept the existing cables and used the 25 year old speakers...NOW...I still want to use the original cables...and thought of one option when putting in the new speakers...how about keeping the soldered on amps and reuse them with the new speakers...is this advisable? or just a crappy redundant thing? curious about your input..
  14. Hi bob! called this place a couple of days ago because I needed an accumulator..they said, even though its stated on their website, they do not have the part available...
  15. ok guys!..got the part today..brandnew, acdelco but made in germany ( go figure!) I wd40ied 2 days ago and again this morning and it helped..the force needed was not severe and the accumulator came loose very easily..what I did not know was the fact that the remaining pressure was enough to squirt a fine beam of brake fluid right on my face...so if you do this, better wear protective glasses! ( ok, this time I did not..stupidly enough) 2 little towels were soaked in brake fluid after I removed the accumulator...new one was on in seconds.. did not really hear the pump pressurizing the system but it was ready in a seconds..no brake/abs light..brakes better than ever! at least , I got the job done! thanks for all your input on that matter!!
  16. btw, guys!!! this is the place where I found it! : https://www.partsvoice.com make a note of it !
  17. 15 calls later...I found one!...brandnew, shipped, incl.tax for $270! supp. here on monday..and then I got to figure out how to remove and install!.. thanks guys!!! for you help!
  18. no luck so far...called 12 different places where it shows! that the part is available...once you call them, they tell you they dont have it....F&$&$^%
  19. holy crap! muuuch better prices on that site!!! will call the 4 places that have it tomorrow and see when they can deliver...150 is not bad!! and I can put it in myself.. ( 25 presses on the brake to depressurize, correct? )
  20. do you have a part number for the jaguar model??
  21. excellent explanation - thanks again
  22. whaddayaknow lights came on after 3 quick peddle taps....great! but still, breaks feel sturdy, pedal is the usual softness, not hard... could it be anything else???
  23. thanks digger...that was my fear...will check asap...looks like the part is unavailable on amazon right now....
