  1. I’ve just seen this for the first time. scotty would have been 60 in 1930. He never had any money and by this time his prospecting days were over. I can’t imagine that this was his car. Is there any actual evidence?
  2. Let me know what you have left for big six when you get back l
  3. dennis, are you willing to ship them? Can you supply the brand and part number for the bix six gaskets? Thanks Linus
  4. Sure not finding anything like it. Ill keep looking Not finding anything like it, Ill keep looking
  5. Looking for a spare/replacement for this broken throttle linkage from my 21 big six. inwoll repair this but I would sure like to carry a spare thanks.
  6. Thats why i need the handle. To turn the motor over and push the mud out of each cylinder.
  7. I live here if anyone wants me to look at this chassis or store it for them for a while.
  8. That works for a little while but not for a long term solution and not for a restoration.
  9. Thanks for the insight everyone. These are clear and black zinc plated parts so they are not as cosmetically critical as nickel. I will look into garys suggestion. Of course we can try plating things ourselves, but we are a business doing restorations and hope to be able to focus on what we do and have someone else who can handle batches of plating. Right now we have a plater but they can not prepare the material for us, so I am looking for a company that can do both prep and plating. Thanks all L
  10. All, does anyone have a suggestion for a solution for electro plating of large quantities of small parts? Clips, hardware, springs, etc for original restorations are always a challenge for us. I am looking for a business that we can ship a box of 1000 small pieces to and receive them back plated. Any suggestions welcome
  11. A friend in central Oregon has a rough 1917 touring he would sell. it has some engine parts and the rest of the drivetrain. The body is pretty shot. There is also a light six engine and a later 1928 dictator or something engine. does anyone need this? Don’t know his asking price
  12. Where in Washington are you? i in Oregon and have a 1921 big six. I could use some spares.
  13. Unfortunately the gear is stamped KF. They actually made 20 sets of axles. 9 were scrapped, nine trucks were made, we know that one spare set exists (but we cant have them) and perhaps there is another set somewhere. We know that the carrier was used in forklifts and tractors, but the ratio was different. L
  14. hi ed, thanks for chiming in, your help is always appreciated. this diff has what I would call a spiral bevel gear I think and it is a full float axle. the ring gear is pretty small considering that its for a truck. They used a sun gear at the outer end to reduce the ratio even further, so the ring gear is not as low as it might otherwise be.
  15. All, i am working on a vehicle of which only 9 were made. six still exist. We need a ring and pinion made for it. Do any of you know of a company that does this sort of work for old cars? I would sure appreciate any leads. The vehicle is not an antique car, but it is old. Its a british roadless truck. the axles were made by Kirkstall forge which was in business from 1080 until 2003 when they were absorbed and dissolved by DANA. Thanks Linus
