  6. Wow times are changing but not always for the good when it comes to that
  7. Use to be a company called, jenkins Interiors that specialized in Cadillac of that era. Don’t know if they are still in business
  8. Most want their engine factory original that own that era of Cadillac. That’s probably why they are still available. $2500 is a really good offer. I am a long time Cadillac restorer and collector and would not have offered that much. I would only use them on a fun display engine
  9. Looks like old lacquer paint job. Have to dismantle a large portion of the car to repaint properly. That cost $15-$20,000 in my area
  10. I just purchased a 1941 Cadillac coupe in that condition yesterday for $20,000 if that helps put this asking price in perspective 🙄
  11. He is asking a bit much even though you couldn’t build it for that price. This era of Cadillac is very difficult to find parts for it. I think that is part of what holds the value down. my background; Owned a restoration shop for 35 years and a avid Cadillac collector.
  12. I have owned mine for over fifty years and kept up with market value. They will bring $15-16,000 on their best day at the end of the rainbow fully restored to show condition.
  13. May I purchase one of the carburetors you say is off a ‘24. I am missing the carburetor on my ‘22. I would take the chance it will fit Robert Hand corsicana,Tx
  14. I was hoping to talk to you because I have read some of the old post of yours. I would sure like to try the brass floats with a single pivot and definitely to try a gross jet. no I am not using an electric pump. my vacuum tank works very well. I owned a restoration shop for 35 years before I retired so long ago knew that there seems to be no way to regulate the fuel pressure versus volume properly. Sure do miss Mr Selick is anyone reproducing the housing that the fuel bowl/cutoff valves are in ? will the Detroit lubricator easily retro fit ?
  15. Thank you very much I have never had a moment of trouble on the V8 Johnson but all I have is trouble with them on my 12 cylinders
  16. Is there anyone that is a good source for carburetor parts. the Johnson carbs are such chronic problems to the point I can’t enjoy driving them. looking for brass float single pivot conversions with grosejets also looking for trunk hold down brackets and possibly a reproduction of fuel shut-off valve housing under vacuum tank
  17. I have owned it I think about 5 years located about one hour south of Dallas,Tx
