  3. Metz/Waltham Automobiles – Motorcycles – Bicycles – Air-Car 2nd Annual Metz/Waltham/Orient Gathering July 10th. The 2nd annual Metz Auto and transportation gathering will take place at the Waltham Museum on Saturday July 10th from 9AM-3PM. All owners of Metz/Waltham/Orient transportation vehicles are welcome to join us to display their vehicles. Please call the museum at 781-893-9020 to reserve your space.   4. We have uploaded several new videos to the website Metz/Waltham Automobiles – Motorcycles – Bicycles – Air-Car and our Metz / Orient attendance list is growing for the first Waltham on Wheels. Response to the website & registry and the first Waltham on Wheels has been very positive. We have new Metz and Orient listings in the registry. To list a car, motorbike or bicycle in the registry please send the following: 1. The year and model. 2. The engine serial number. 3. At least 1 good photo. 4. Very importantly a story about the known history of the vehicle(You can read some of the entries to get a good idea of what we are looking for) ___________________________________________________________________________ We have had several FOR SALE ad requests lately for parts and cars and have come up with some simple rules to go by when requesting an ad posted to the group email and or the website. This will make it easier for the interested parties. 1.Photos of the car or parts 2 Engine serial number 3 Known history of the car to the best of your ability. 4 The cars or parts present location (state) 5 We will use the email address that you have provided in the email to include in the ad or phone number which ever you prefer.   6. Waltham on Wheels July 11th 2009 You’re invited to join us at the Waltham Museum on July 11th 2009 for Waltham on Wheels. Owners of vehicles built in Waltham, Ma. are invited to display their Automobiles, bicycles or Motorcycles. Vehicles will be on display from 10 A M to 4 P M. The Metz Automobile Co. founder Charles Metz was one of the world’s most inventive individuals in the early days of bicycle and automotive transportation in the City of Waltham, Ma. and this where he made transportation history happen from the Orient bicycle to the Metz Plan Car. Historians Al Arena and Gerry Beal’s will present lectures on the history of the Metz Automobile and the Brockton, Ma. connection of the Marsh Metz Motorcycle. As mentioned at our recent Waltham Transportation - Metz Automobile gathering at the Waltham Museum we would like to announce for our group here a very special event owners of vehicles built in Waltham, Massachusetts will gather at the Waltham Museum on July 11, 2009 as we display Walthan Museum vehicles and those that are privately owned for the general public and discuss their value to the City of Waltham. For those who missed it, Al Arena will present his history lecture on the Metz Automobile and historian Gerry Beals will present the Marsh-Metz Brockton, Ma. connection. We regret to inform attendees that Historian Gerry Beals will not be able to attend and his presentation on the History of Marsh-Metz the Brockton, Ma. connection has been re scheduled for July 11th at the Waltham Museum. Full details to follow. Waltham Museum Director Al Arena will touch on the Marsh and Metz collaboration.
