  1. yes, they are 34-36 Hupp Model J, T,G  and N. $100 for the  pair is  fair. The hardest item  to get is the  glass for  them. Some  members of  our Hupp Club  have  had them  reproduced in  plastic. You can offer them  for  sale in  our club  parts  locator. If you  go on the  Hupp Club  page on  Facebook  you can find  out  how to do this  and its  free.

  2. That's what is  Great  about the  Hupp Club, we  do  not  judge  cars  or people. We have  fun on our tours  and  make  a lot of ice  cream stops. I stopped counting  but  I think we  have  gone on  about  20  tours all over the  US  and  Canada. In my 53 years of being a charter member. You  will never  get a better  bang  for $35 than being a member. We have  a face book page. Go have  a look. The pic are from our Hershey spot.

  3. Just so you know, Hupmobile had a fixed in place in 1927on the Model A Hupp.  In 1929 they made the front seat adjustable by turning a screw at the bottom about in the  middle. I would get some one with the height you require to check it out. Hope his helps  you.

  4. Great, I  was  hoping that  some one  would  get it  and  get  it back on the  road. If  you  are  not  a member of the  Hupp Club,  its  worth  joining. We  have a  tec advisor for  all the  Hupp models. We  also have  a parts  locator  if  you  need  parts  or  literature.

  5. I know a  lot  of  other  makes of  cars used  Warner transmissions. I  can  only  speak for  Hupmobile. The  T-86  Warner  transmission  was  used in the  1935-36  model  G  Hupp. It also  had  an  over drive  on  some  of  them  that  Hupp called  Super  Drive. It  reduced the  engine  rpm  30 %. If  out  of  over  drive if the  engine rpm  was  3,000, engage the  over  drive  and  the  engine  speed was reduced to  2,000. I  have  this  same  over  drive  in my  1936  Model  N Hupp   and it  works  as the  name  says  Super  Drive. Now  the  G  model  Hupp is  a 6 cyl as your  model  R  Skylark, If your  model R  Skylark has  a Warner  T-86  transmission I  would  say  you  may  be able to  add an overdrive but  I  have  know  knowledge that any model R  Skylark  was equipped with 1 but  maybe an  owner  of  a Skylark   can speak to  that. My  1936 Hupp Model N is  an 8 cyl.  with  a Warner  T -85 unlike  the  Model  G  Hupp 6  cyl.

  6. Thank you  for  your  response. All I  really wanted to  know was if  the   428 Cobra jet tag  was  a Ford part or a  reproduction. I  think  I  got  that  answer. Now  when I  get  the  car home, I  will check the  serial #  like  you said.  And  yes being 55 years old and  a number of  owners, it more than  likely has  a lot  of  repo  parts.  It  still looks  a little bad to the  bone  to me.

  7. Thank you for  your  reply, I  know  the  engine is  a big block with a   4  speed  standard  transmission. I  should  have the  car  tomorrow  so I  can  check the  engine  code.

  8. If you  are  not  a member  of the  Hupp Club joining  our  club  would  be  a good  place to  find  the  parts  you  need.  We have  a great parts locater  that the  members can  place a want add for the  parts they  need. Members  that  own Model  20:s may  have the  part  you  need. As  a member  for 51  years  you  can  not  get  a  better  bang  for  your  buck.

  9. Dale,  We left for the  meet on Sat. the  31 to go to Pittsburg, I  have  not  had  my  computer on  until  this  morning. We  had  a great tour  with  13  Hupps  from  all over the  US. Non of the  Hupp members    from  Canada    could not  come.   It was  great  to see  are  old  friends  and  make new  ones.

  10. Getting  ready  for  the  2021 Hupp tour in  Pittsburg Pa.  I  noticed a small  amount of what  looked  like brake  fluid on  the  hot  top in the  driveway. I  slide a piece of  cardboard under the  area where the  leak  was. Checking the  master cylinder and it  was  low on  fluid.  Jacked up the  front  end  and  put it on  ramps plus jack  stands.  That  gave  me  enough  room to  get  under the  car  to  see  where the  leak  was. It  was  by-passing the master cylinder piston. So  I  got  a new  master  cylinder and  installed  it. Full  brake  pedal with  no  leaks. See pic.  Just so  you  know,  this  car is  mostly original, so  that  being  said  it  has  small  oil  leaks  here  and  there. Nothing to  keep it  for  going  down the  road.
