  1. This style driving light was a factory option for Oldsmobile in 1931. It shows up in their accessory catalouge
  2. Still looking for an exhaust manifold for 312 Olds. No luck from deaddds
  3. I am also looking for an exhaust manifold if you still have it.
  4. Thanks to all. The tire gauge is made by US gauge, they made them for a number of manufacturers and some generic with just US gauge on them. I wasn't sure if someone that did instrument (dash gauges)repair could check this out either. It's a nice piece and I didn't want to ruin it.
  5. Does anyone know of someone who repairs this style tire gauge. the rubber seat in the end that goes on the valve stem no longer seals. It is hard and cracked
  6. I have a resistor wire? in my generator on my 31 OLds that burned out. Does anyone know where I can get one? Something like what is on the first generator pictured from ricosan. It also looks like Friartuck's last picture may have one in it also.
  7. My building is 50x 70 doors are 16x16 so I have probably another 6 ft. higher in the center above the doors. I think by the time I did the floors, electric, floor drains, insulation, water, heat, phone, windows, and siding about 100k at the time. The foam insulation was a great idea. It keeps it really tight. I also bought quality double insulated overhead garage doors and at that size they were not cheap. Also they have automatic openers. By the way I went with vinyl siding because I wanted no painting maintenance. I had a t-111 building before and had to paint it every 2 years. You are right about the steel roof, a friend of mine has one and the sliding snow is a real problem for him.
  8. My building is similar to what you want to build. I used spray foam insulation and the building is very tight. Your idea of putting in footers is a great idea. Just remember to allow for things like drains, water, and electric before hand. Also with the high ceilings it will take a lot to heat. I have 2 100k furnaces and it takes 2 hrs in the winter to get it up to 60 degrees.
  9. rockcetraider, Yes vacabill, like I said he was having a bad time and I really didn't want to call his wife. I hope someone out that way can give us an update on his condition. My prayers are with him and his wife.
  10. Bill Hoffert was a friend of mine and I know he was not doing well the last time I talked to him. I don't want to call his wife and bother her. Does anyone know if he is ok or did he take a turn for the worst. I know his health was very questionable the last time we were in touch.
  11. I was also thinking dual cowl only because of only the lower clamp. The pin part I thought would go into the convertible channel. I assume most closed cars had a clamp on both top and bottom. I still would appreciate other opinions. Thanks
