  2. I worked at a car wash when I was a teenager. All of the waste water went down the drain. Nothing was recycled. This was in the early 70s.
  3. I think pont35cpe figured it out. I've been wondering for years what these were used for. Thanks to everyone.
  4. I have this set of wrenches. I think they may be from the 1930s. They belonged to my grandfather. There are no markings of any kind. No manufacturer or sizes. They don't fit conventional hex nuts. I don't have any square nuts to try using the wrenches on. Any information would be appreciated.
  5. 1939 Plymouth rear fold down bumper guard. Re-chromed. Very nice condition. There are only two horizontal pieces. Free shipping in the lower 48 states . $150.00. PM if interested.
  6. 1939 Plymouth rear fold down bumper guard. Re-chromed. Very nice condition. There are only two horizontal pieces. Free shipping in the lower 48 states . $150.00. PM if interested.
  7. The guards fit in a small flat rate box. Shipping will be $10.40 in the United States only.
  8. The top on my '39 Plymouth showed no signs of movement when activating the dash control. I used a turkey baster with a hose attached to inject two ounces of neatsfoot oil at the top and bottom of the convertible top cylinders ( four ounces per cylinder). After the neatsfoot oil was added I cycled it manually. I could feel resistance immediately. Prior to adding neatsfoot oil the top felt as if it was not connected to the cylinders when cycled manually. The top operated fine the first time I operated it with the dash switch. Neatsfoot oil is recommended for leather and worked well on the leather seals in the cylinders.
  9. They are still available as of 24DEC22. PM for more information. Thanks.
  10. These "38 Plymouth bumper guards have been re-chromed. The back side has pitting. The front looks nice. They are driver quality condition. I only ask to be compensated for actual shipping. They can also be picked up at my house. Please PM if you are interested. Thanks.
  11. Try Chrysler Historical Services. A Google search can provide more information. I contacted them about my '39 Plymouth. There is quite a backlog so it may take some time. Good luck. https://www.chryslerclub.org/PDF files/Chrysler_Historical_Build_Record_Request.pdf
  12. Your thoughts of using NOS are correct. Aftermarket replacement parts are not always up to the quality of NOS parts. There are a lot of horror stories about aftermarket/reproduction parts failing causing catastrophic failures to engines and other components.
  13. Inspect the wires on the pick up coil located in the distributor. It has a two wire connecter that plugs into the ignition module. The coil rotates slightly in conjunction with the vacuum advance. The wires work harden and eventually break within the insulation. They can momentarily open circuit and cause a stumble while accelerating. A resistance reading across the connector should be 900 ohms and not change when the vacuum advance is actuated.
  14. The fender ornaments have been sold. This is the only photo of the headlamp doors that I was was able to upload. There is very slight shelf wear on the bottom of one of the right side headlamp doors. I also have a set of NOS sundial wheel covers that have been polished...no shelf wear. $200 for the set. Buyer to pay shipping.
  15. I have a set of four NOS headlamp doors, in original boxes, for a 1960 Ford Fairlane, Galaxie, Starliner, Sunliner or Country Sedan. These are the single retaining screw style. $130.00 for the set. I also have a pair of NOS front fender gun site ornaments in the original box. $120.00 for the pair. Lastly, I have a nice used "S" for the trunk lock on Starliners or Sunliners. The rotating key hole cover is NOT included. Shipping is not included. Please PM if interested. Thanks.
  16. I received your contact information. I will call to work out shipping details.
  17. I have about 1/3 of a gallon of DDL-9300. It is old but not solidified. I painted my car with it in 1982. It is yours for free if you want it. I'm not sure if there are restrictions to ship paint. PM me if you are interested.
  18. I'm looking for the vacuum switch that activates the air recirculation door on 1960 to 62 full size Fords. The part number is C0AF-18A270-B. Thanks. rln31455@yahoo.com
