  1. You know, looking at the pictues one would think that you would have take out a proper auto loan to purchase one of these great looking cars. And I’m sure that if you took the pictures with you to the finance people you could get one too. Time, paitence, comittment to detail and having the eye for the end product all coming together, beautiful work Roger… Scott
  2. I've yet to comment on your efforts here but now I find the need. The paint one the fenders turned out wonderful. You're just teasing us all until it all begins to fully come together. I can't wait to see the finished product. Scott
  3. One could argue the middle car might be a 1957 Dodge too, no?
  4. My '69 Dodge Sportsman Van has a split windhield, does that count?
  5. Yes, I've chatted with him though a couple PM's. Building them will be a fall back position for now, I've just seriously started looking for them and would like to keep looking for a while.
  6. Still looking... I've also just learned that the running boards are the same on the Dodge DK Coupe if that helps. Scott

  8. I just received samples from LaBaron Bonney Co. out of Amesbury MA A link to their web site is: LeBaron Bonney Company - Antique Auto Upholstery
  9. Not trying to be a whiner, just showing that I can be observant at times. And thanks for turning it back on so soon. Scott
  10. I just noticed that the random member pictures are no longer appearing at the top of the main forum page. I liked to run through these now and then. Are they gone for good? Is it just me or did something change? Just asking... Thanks, Scott
  11. The part number referenced is 1328835, not 13258835 that you noted, maybe removing the extra 5 in the front will locate the actual year/engine? I went back out and copied the link from the Chrysler300club ad that shows the info that I posted. It is newad I've no manual to reference, just the info I've pulled from google... Scott
  12. I just did a google search on "Water pump #1328835 and a hit came up on the chrysler300club website, someone offering water pump rebuild service. They show this number as fitting 1954-56 8cyl. Dodge Trucks G, H, J, K 1 to 2 1/2 ton with the same casting as yours #1328835. Hope that this helps, you might want to confirm this with someone here that might know more about the dodge trucks or you could post this question further down on the Dodge Trucks forum... Scott
  13. I originally posted a WTB with a messed up thread title, I had just learned that I could delete that thread and re-add it. This time I’ve also added a drawing. Hopefully this will draw a bit more response. I'm now looking for at least one but would prefer a set of Running Boards for my '31 Dodge DG8 Coupe. I have only two pieces of wood that don't even fit the openings on either side. Sorry, I've no actual running board pictures that I can post that would help in this case. But, I did get out and measure the running board area on the driver’s side and made the attached drawing. The measurements may be off a bit for the depth of the board as I do not have the frame splash shield on that would normally fit behind the running board, so they are my best guess. The length shown is actual and is the open space between the fenders. The measured of the support braces are from the rear fender forward to the center. If you have questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks... Scott

    titles

When I had VIN on an out of state title corrected before registering it I just called the local police department and they came out and confirmed the VIN on the out of state title was a type-o to the actual VIN on the car. They also did a VIN search on their radio before they signed off on the VIN correction. I would believe that they would have performed a simular service if I need to confirm a VIN of an old unregistered car without a title before applying for a title.
  17. Sorry about that, this should help: accForum :: Voir le sujet - Avanti au 1:12 I found it under unimogjohn's Avanti R2, 163, Refresh. Roger had posted there in response to a comment unimogjohn made after he had found it. Enjoy... Scott
  18. Still looking... And thanks John for posting the picture of your pedal. Thanks... Scott
  19. Barry, Electric, vacuum, hydraulic wipers? Is this one of the few original Rube Goldberg automotive designs? Do they run faster as the transmission shifts from first to second and faster yet when you’re in drive? Of course I’m only making some assumptions here as I’ve never heard of a design quite like this so I just had to ask???:D:D Scott Oh, and have a wonderful trip...
  20. Roger, I’d gone out to the French site where you posted the rebuild of your Avanti model and went through all 28 pages. Your work, tedious detail to say the least, is nothing but just amazing. And as far any concern of it being in French and not being able to follow along, I believe that every picture spoke a thousand words in many languages. I also noted that the time period basically covered 4 years, now I can’t imagine why that would be, it must be that you were trying to put to much detail into it. Ok, now you’ve got to believe that I’m pulling your leg. The Avanti can only be a taste of what the Continental project holds in store. I for one am in for the long haul. Scott
  21. James, Seeing the car out in the daylight really shows how beautiful it looks. It is really in wonderful shape, I’m sure that it drew much attention rolling down the road causing many to wish it was heading to their house. It's definitely a family jewel… Scott
  22. I too shold have made the same suggestion as F&J did, my apologies, but agree with F&J's comments. I've not seen or head of a book that either just covers handles or has a section on them and although posting seperate pictures of the potential numerous handles may be labor intensive it may be your best bet. Maybe you might take pictures of groups of like handles or another thought might be to write numbers on a large piece of cardboard and place the a handle next to each number and take/post a photo. This will allow those that respond to reference which number appears to be what handle, just thinking out loud... F&J, I'll send you a PM on what you have. Although I might be able to fix the one that I have as a fallback I will for now keep looking for all that are missing. Scott
  23. If you are planning on selling these door handles and there is any chance that you happen to come across this type of door handle, I am in need of 2 and the matching window cranks too. As you can see the handle I have is broken. If not that's ok, just checking all possible leads... Scott
  24. My thought is that the bands will be affixed to the wheel blank as tire tread and manufacture details (name/size). Then the finished wheel will become the master for the mold that will make the actual tires. I could be wrong, but that’s my thinking… Also, let me say now that I am amazed at those that have the talent and patience to be able to see this type of project through. I, along with many others will be following along and (maybe even impatiently at times) waiting for updates as you make progress. By the way, when you are done with the Avanti will you be posting a picture of the completed model? Scott
  25. Thanks for the additional info, the length helps a lot. Yep, sure looks like the pattern in the remaining piece that I have. I'm going to assume that the rubber circle is formed as an extension of the surface through a hole in the metal backing. Now, since that I am missing this piece (the top part) I would have a challange to replicate the upper without some sort of backing. I'm still going to maintain my search for a complete pedal, it's not something that I need today but sooner would be better than when I truly need it. Thanks... Scott
