  1. I've noticed lately that my 1990's cruise control disconnects or slowly loses the set speed most of the time. Are there vacuum connections that could cause this or is it something else usually? Thanks in advance
  2. At 117,000 miles, I'm getting a "clunk" or similar sound from the front of the car, sounding like it's under the hood. I'm guessing it is the stabilizer bar bushings. In the documentation it states that the exhaust pipe has to be removed from the rear manifold to replace the bar. Since I'm only going to replace bushings and not the whole bar, can I just loosen everything except the pipe and still get to the places I need and move the bar enough? Thanks, Xerxes

  4. My brother's 1995 Supercharged Riv has a gas leak from the tank area when he fills the tank. If he only puts in 10 gallons, there is no leak. Is there any history of this being a problem? Any other ideas? Thanks Xerxes
  5. I have a 1990 Reatta and the square coils are leaking mystery stuff. I know I need to change them ASAP. I was at a local salvage yard on their all-you-can-carry Saturday. I was there to get some blower motor resistors, a couple for my brother's 1995 Park Avenue and I got a couple that cross reference for my Reatta as well. I also got several MAF and TPS sensors. I also picked up some of the Delco round coils and one complete set still mounted on the backing plate off a 1995 Buick Park Avenue. Are these interchangable such that I could just swap out the two sets? It looks like the mounting plug has the same number of wires. If I can't just "Plug N Play" what can I do to convert to the round coils? Thanks, Xerxes
  6. Is there a way to rewire the map lights to come on automatically when the doors are opened on the 1990 convertible? This would really be nice as there is not very much light inside when the doors are opened at night. Of course, it would also be great if this did not cut out the switches on the mirror so they could be used individually when needed. Thanks in advance!
  7. Does anyone have personal experience installing their Reatta's convertible top? I especially want to know about stapling and gluing requirements. I'm going to try to install my new top, possibly with professional help, but want as much information as possible to begin with. I have read the installation by NEMO on the Reatta owners Journal site. This doesn't address any stapling issues or cable replacement issues. I'll be getting a top made by EZ on so I'm sure the fit will be excellent if I don't blow the installation. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

  9. Does anyone have an exploded diagram showing where these are?
  10. I'm sure many of us have used the JAXED MASH site to access multiple Craigslists and other sites. Craigslist has evidently served JAXED MASH with a Cease & Desist Order so their listings no longer appear on the site. Now all listings on the site are those from sites where one has to pay to advertise. Anyone have any input or comment on this bizarre situation?

  15. I throughly agree that the need for a new convertible top severly inhibits a sale. I have a 1990 Beechwood Convertible with 99K. It runs great and is overall really nice but the need for a new top has been a sticking point for many. There is a clearcoat issue on one fender but that hasn't been nearly the deal breaker that the top has. Unfortunately, I'm in a Catch-22. I'd put a new Haartz cloth top on tomorrow but I can't afford it now. I'm only selling the car due to lack of income(I sell building materials, or, at least try!). Many years ago I learned that if you are selling a car make sure you do everything you can to make sure it looks, starts, and runs great. So far I have done two of these three. Your point is very well taken!
