  1. Rod, internal cable MUST come out at the top [ speedometer ] end. Ben
  2. Larry, are you saying MODERN antifreeze can be used in older cars? Ben
  3. Thank you, Adam!! Correct, my 1992 Daily driver is a [gasp] Chevy. Some newer "BUICKS" are not even Buicks. Ben
  4. I second Glenn. I have the Newport wiper on the 1950. Excellent! Call them I would! Ben
  5. Well, dang, Grant!! One more, and a big one, reason to attend. I was just thinking this morning I might not go. Now back on the agenda! Ben
  6. I just completed a 2100 mile jaunt in the '50 Buick. Dragging the teardrop along. 17.8 mpg. Ben
  7. Good on you!!! Almost 30,000 mi on my 1950 since doing the same. Ignore the naysayers😁. Ben
  8. I agree with Terry. Contrary to what some say, Norman, go for the 12V. I did over 10 years ago. M-mman is correct that the starter drive [ bendix] will eventually give up. Mine gave up after 6 or 7 years. The plusses outweigh the negative, in my opinion. My Buick is is crowding 30,000 miles since the change. Ben
  9. I believe there is a SMALL hex [allen ?] screw on the bottom. Ben
  10. The 1950 Buick varies from, from 14-16 local, to as high as 20 hwy. Gearing makes a large difference. From Texas to Seattle and return last year, towing the teardrop , about 18. Ben UPDATE: Just home from a 2100 mile trip, again towing the tear drop. 17.8 mpg.
