This is a very clean blue and white 1961 Rambler Classic (Super) 4 door sedan. There is no rust anywhere on the body. It has 59,000 ORIGINAL miles on it and it spent its whole life (until August 2007) in dry SW Colorado. It was purchased new in Grand Junction and the original bill of sale will be included with the car, as well as some old receipts and the original owner's manual and a factory shop manual. The 196 cu. in. straight 6 runs good and still has the original Holley one barrel carburetor under the original oil bath air cleaner. The 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive shifts smoothly and the car cruises very nicely at 70 mph. It was repainted its original colors in 2002. Since August 2007 I have replaced the tires and also had the exhaust system replaced, installed 5 sets of seat belts, shocks all around, and the battery. I installed an AM/FM radio (from a 94 Ford) set back under the dash with only one 6x9 speaker in the dash. I had the seat portion of the front seat redone so the blue vinyl matches the original seat back. The back seat had a seat cover on it from 1961 until July 2008 and is virtually brand new and in excellent condition. The headliner and door panels are in very nice original condition also. All the lights work fine, as do the wipers, cigarette lighter, heater, defroster, parking brake, etc. I would not be afraid to drive this car several hundred miles. Feel free to call or email me with any questions or to request more pictures. The price is $4900 firm. Thank you. Dave Crestwood, KY (near Louisville) 502-767-7773 61rambler@bellsouth.net
