  1. Looking for complete, good core with all linkage, OR just the choke linkage as I already have a decent core with no linkage. Someone told me someone reproduced the linkage some years ago, so any leads on that would be appreciated as well.
  2. Turns out there was corrosion on the terminal where the battery cut off switch is in the trunk. Problem solved. Thanks
  3. Searched the archives but only found some old posts on later models. Looking for someone that has recently done a power window conversion on an EM 2 door or Conv. Looking for best kit - there are tons out there and I know I can make one work, just hoping to make the project a tad smoother. If anyone has source and model #'s that would be great. Already reached out to the major players and they have for all other Chevs sans the Corvair.
  4. Working on an EM Custom and hoping to compare notes with someone that has recently done it. There are so many kits out there I am hoping to avoid disasters if possible. If anyone out there has done it in the past few years, please let me know. I am working on a 63 Conv. Thanks
  5. So I have a very well maintained 84 Rolls Silver Spirt that is a Sunday every once in a while driver. Took it out for a drive the other day - parked it - came back an hour later and turned key - no power. Nothing. Not even the annoying buzzer. Fortunately it was parked next to my shop - tested battery - totally fine. Cleaned terminals, still nothing. Have the factory service manuals, but they are rather useless really and I need to know what I should be looking for between the battery (in the trunk) and ignition. I literally have NO power. Not even a dome light. Checked fuses, relays, even pulled the dash apart and pulled out the ignition switch, which appears fine. Any Rolls folks out or anyone else have a thought of where to look next? My only English car. Thanks

  7. First off, thank you both. Matt the calipers appear to be good quality - not sure of the source, but judging by the Grade 8 bolts and what not they seem domestic to me. I am working with the vendor but it has been frustrating to say the least. Bloo I really appreciate the way you spelled it all out. I have been reading alot about this subject the last few days and you really condensed it into something I can digest. So they are going to send me a new master so we can eliminate a defective master from the equation, They are claiming the one I have has a bore size of 1-3/16", and their tech said that "should be more than enough". What I dont understand is how one determines what bore size is right for each application. So in my case, how do I verify 1-3/16" is enough? Im going to pull off the one I have this weekend and check the bore to see if this one is indeed that size. Maybe I'll get lucky and its the wrong size - but I doubt that as this project has been cursed for the start. But hey, you dont learn unless things go sideways. So i will circle back once I get the old master off and get the new one up in there - wont be till the end of the month. In the mean time I will try and figure out why my Graham wont go into gear.
  8. So I am throwing this out there to you Caddy guys with the hope that one of you can help. I recently ordered and installed 4 discs on my 54 Cad which I purchased through Caddy Daddy. No issues installing, but I no matter what I do, manually bleed or power bleed, I CANNOT get a hard pedal - instead it is squishy. There are no fluid or air leaks, and I have bench tested the Master several times - it seems fine. When I have plug the front and rear ports, pedal is hard a rock. I have tried isolating the issue by blocking just the rear port, then bleeding the front calipers (and vice versa) and I still get a squishy pedal. So it would appear that all things point to the master, but why does it work on the bench? I am thinking that maybe the bore size is wrong? I have mounted the new MC in the same exact spot as the old one, which means it is just below or sorta even with the calipers, so perhaps I need to install 2 lb residual valves? But would that really make for such a squishy pedal? Hoping some brake genius is out there that can help - many thanks

  10. This worked great btw and the part is well made. Installed and working great.
  11. Here is a link to their site with contact info. I did NOT see it on their site but emailed them and they said they reproduce it. I decided to order it as I dont have the time to try and make one, so I should have it next week. I can post a pic and let you know how it works if you like. They were very responsive so lets see how it goes. http://www.cadillacpartsltd.com/
  12. Try Mike Butters in Canada. He is making a lot of the stuff the guy in California used to make.I dont want to post his email here without permission but I am fairly certain it is on the Graham Clubs site under parts. Good luck.
  13. I completed a full resto on my 39 Model 97 Combo Coupe this past year and love love love driving it and want to drive it more. Problem is I hate hate hate the brakes and really want to improve on them. Is anyone aware of anyone that has completed a disc brake conversion? I would appreciate any and all info and or contacts of someone to speak with that has done it before. Many thanks. Dennis
  14. Great idea. I also just found out that Cadillac Parts Unlimited makes a repro as well for $110 so I have two ways to go. Thanks for the info - much appreciated.
  15. I have a feeling this part is common across other GM's of the period. See pic, but the part sits all the way at bottom of the column and has a wire attached that goes through shaft to the horn button. Spring loaded contract rides on it as wheel is turned. Mine is broken, car is apart and I need it now. I would appreciate any and all info and or leads. Thanks
  16. I am looking to purchase the following parts for my Sharknose. Please email me directly should you have any of the following: - Set of visors (frames only ok so long they are in good condition) - Correct Jack - 1 door guide (see photo attached) - Center stainless hood band (see photo attached) - Correct Overdrive handle/cable w/bracket Thanks. Dennis
  17. Need a few things......Need a complete set of four bumper guards like the ones below. Must be in good enough shape to plate. Also need stainless strip like one in picture below. This is the stainless on the hood, not the bumper. Thanks.
  18. I am told there is someone out there reproducing them. If so, can someone please post or send me the contact info for the seller? Does anyone else have a good one they want to sell? Thanks
  19. I am told there is someone out there reproducing them. If so, can someone please post or send me the contact info for the seller? Thanks
  20. While the 4 door Vent Window Rubber and Tail Light Pads are reproduced, I cannot find a source for the Combo Coupe. Has anyone out there found a source for the vent window rubber or perhaps an alternative from another car? Looks GM to me. With respect to the tail light pads, I am going to try and trim and split the 4 door ones I have but wonder what other people have used. Been posting here for a while with no luck. Hoping to get a response this time. Thanks.
  21. Anyone have a source for these door guides? It think they look like GM or Ford. They look familiar......I gotta think they are being reproduced. Many thanks.
  22. Does anyone know of an interchangeable vent window rubber for a Combination Coupe? Combo coupe part not being reproduced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  23. Looking for (4) stainless rocker moldings for my 39 Sharknose. I can polish, but they must be in good, restorable condition. Please contact me here if you have a set you want to sell. Thanks
  24. Is anyone reproducing the Sharknose glove box? Is there another model that crosses over and will work? Please advise. Many thanks.
  25. Does anyone know the delco or other mfg part #'s for the O/D Relay and kick-down switch for a 39 Graham? Either that or something that crosses over......I cannot find. Thanks
