I had the same issue, it is a casting flaw. Mine are out being welded as we speak. It is not cheap, I will be into it atleast $1700.00 without machining or pistons and valves. But it is worth it in the long run. You can not weld cast iron with a wire feed welder, it must be heated up to atlease 1000 deg then welded and cooled slowly.
