  1. Just curious if anyone is going to Newport for this show. I did see a gold, '71 GSX there
  2. Found one at bestoffercounts.com Thanks to all that looked or pm'ed me
  3. I ruined the ball stud seat on mine, and it isn't repairable. Even just a rear shaft would work. It seems the shaft for a '65 is one year only, and specific to the Wildcat and Electra Thanks, John
  4. If the casting number is 1175109, that should confirm it's a truck engine
  5. Pete to the rescue again!!! I was going to say that I may have sold one to Skip several years ago
  6. Hi everyone. Pete hunted down a right rear fender for my '49 Super 4 dr. Came in today, shipped beautifully. Much better than mine. I just wanted to publicly Thank him for his efforts. Thanks, Pete!!!
  7. What would concern me is any dust and debris could enter the engine, while the cap is filtered.
  8. If you did (he said he'd put tires on the front to make it a roller), How much for the right rear fender, and the front passenger door latch? Thanks, John
  9. Yeah.....but even at that, for $1200, is it then worth the extra $1000 to ship it?
  10. A little too pricey for me, with shipping ($1000+) I really only need the right rear fender.....they won't part....whole car only.....if anyone is interested... http://www.dansoldcars.net/Buick.htm http://www.dansoldcars.net/100_6461.jpg
  11. That's an excellent tip!!! Thanks. I'll have to remember that
  12. Would a driver's side latch from a 4 dr work?? https://www.ebay.com/i/303543928905?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=303543928905&targetid=1068715361694&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9002183&poi=&campaignid=11612583999&mkgroupid=113642462552&rlsatarget=pla-1068715361694&abcId=9300457&merchantid=113749949&gclid=Cj0KCQiA3Y-ABhCnARIsAKYDH7vxRjO1iQCJR6BQzFrFRHzfY7qi9mbQ39bxnzEJMq5rvJhUrJh4pesaArhlEALw_wcB
  13. Pete. Thanks, for the photos. Unfortunately, the part of the rear fender i need is worse than whats there. Thanks for your time, John
  14. Terrific.......just what I needed.......I knew I'd regret this.....LOLOL......I've made a mess of the right rear one on mine. Would it be too much to ask for a photo and a price? Thanks, John
  15. I'm gonna regret asking, but do you still have the right rear outer fender? Thanks, John
  16. I don't know if '59 is hard and fast with you, but here's a '58 Century 2 dr that's had the body work done https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/320952675608491/?ref=search&referral_code=undefined
  17. Scott, You said you were parting out a '49 Super 4 dr. How are the rear fenders on that? Thanks, John
  18. Has anyone seen this??? 1 of 4??? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2698959496988586/?ref=search&referral_code=undefined
  19. Frank, I had bought a PBX swichboard that came out of a hotel in NH. It had just been taken out of service, and this was 2004!!! This is even older. A Stromberg-Carlson switchboard from 1910-1920. Couldn't pass that up.........for $45!!!!
  20. And this is what Sarah used to connect you with the feed store
  21. Not too sure I agree about Mary. She's the daughter of a GM lifer, a toolmaker, and got her degree from the GM Institute (now Kettering University). When Bob Lutz got there, things started to change with the product. The cheap, shiny, plastics are gone. The 5 products I have leased or purchased have been reliable. The only nagging trouble I've is with the Blue Def system in my Chevy Cruze diesel, and according to my wife's uncle, who owned a medium/heavy truck repair shop, they are troublesome industry wide. I'll take that issue all day as opposed to what VW did to their customers with their diesels. I don't think she's made a mistake with electrics, either. Outside of Tesla, nobody has done much. She's investing $27 billion in the vehicles and battery technology. It'll take about 5 years to see how the ramp-up fares against Tesla. And then there is the Cruise division. Not liking the idea of self driving cars, but from a business perspective, that could be a big winner.
