1953 Buick Special radiator, in desparate need!
cooterbfd replied to Phatthawg's topic in Buick - Buy/Sell
I have a Harrison radiator, p/n 3123756 that should fit. tThere is a pin hole in one of the tubes, but otherwise sound. You're welcome to have a look. Cheap -
Awesome.....this is the next step then......it does have a new flasher in it......my son had added a ground to the socket from the buss ground on the radiator support..... we shall work on this next. Thanks for the advice, and thanks to Joel for posting the schematic.

Looks like a good job....good luck!!!
-
Thanks. I shall try this....what confuses me is the book says the left directional grounds through the right indicator bulb, and vice versa.
-
Small aggravating problem here. All new wiring, except in the column. Getting a fast blink on both sides, left actually blinks, right ends up blowing fuse. When I check wiring going to the bulbs, I'm getting like 4.2 or 42 ohms. Would that be me seeing the bulb going to ground??? Any help

RI wire service makes a turn signal wiring harness for about $100 It should be plug and play......we've rewired our '49, except the column.....EVERYTHING fit PERFECTLY riwire.com

I'm almost positive that the counterbalance shaft was something that came in about 1988-89. It also shows a first gen FWD Electra/LeSabre

Wow. The picture looks like the 'Master is a full foot longer.

IIRC, 50-52 Special, 50-51 Super and Roadmaster. Gotta double check the parts book

Sorry it took so long. Here's the tracking USPS tracking No: LH155365175US Teller said it's only good until it hits customs there. Book cover pics: 1940-1971 is the one with the part number, other is for reference as to what a soft cover version would look like. Thanks, John

Just got back from the Post. $15 to the UK. So, $65 total. All I'd need would be a payment and an address Thanks, John

I shall tomorrow. Those books are gold. Any info I come across is valuable. With all the OEM and aftermarket parts that were made, you just don't know what will fit unless boxes are marked.

What this appears to show me is that the "206" P/N is used on a Gran Sport manual tranny, and the 207 is for the auto. But that gets reversed for the Wildcat.
-
Yes there is a part number. A little crude, but the Carter # is 170890 The box is GM, so the only number is 1378206, and the group 3.750 I'm going to double check my parts book. IIRC, there's only 2 numbers 1378206 and 205 Thanks, John

$50 plus shipping??? Not sure.....Does that sound reasonable?

Wouldn't it be something if the manager comped your room for the inconvenience and confusion!! -
Looking forward to see the ornament and grill teeth in person.
