A. Kow - Panhard - Part 2 - The 50’s
After lying dormant for World War II, Panhard came back and so did artist Alexi Kow. *The above images of our sales literature collection range from 1949 to 1952. *He continued his push for strong, dynamic looking images that push the car to show its beauty and power.
The last image, of the Dyna 57, has a unique feature to which the inside flap folds up showcasing the convertible top on and off the car in a rainstorm and at the beach. *The use of an underlying illustration that converts to show the same car in a different scene is both innovative and very impressive for a piece of 4”x6” sales literature. *I couldn’t find much information on Alexi Kow outside of these works and some others that he had done for Panhard. *There is a book out there somewhere that would be fun to get a hold of, but until then I will be satisfied looking at the originals from time to time. *

A. Kow - Panhard - Part 1 - The 30’s
Artist Alexis Kow provided Panhard with some pretty exceptional art deco inspired illustrations. *Whether it’s the use of full scenery shots or the the simplicity of powerful lines, Kow presents some really great artwork for the Panhard company over the years. The above images come from our extensive collection of sales literature and brochures.
My favorite is the tan one with the airplane, showcasing powerful line work while working with color and tone to separate and present a visually striking *piece. His great use of perspective creates images that really push the automotive design and accentuate the beauty of these French automobiles.

There is always this option too: Moyer Fuel Tank Renu - antique gas tank repair restoration, classic car gas tanks GASTANK
I don't know anyone that has tried this service but it looks like they can save anything. I found this while doing research before I pulled my tank (expecting the worst) but was relieved to find that my tank was just fine.

Hi Bob,
If that part number is accurate, it is not a Buick tank. At least it doesn't fall between 1928 & 1942. See the attached picture copied from the 1928-1942 Master Chassis Parts List.
Based on my recent experience with my '37 Special (Business Coupe), I think the biggest issue you will face with that tank is the filler neck. From your pictures they look close, but mine had a pretty close fit and I don't think it would allow for even a few degrees difference in the bends. You could always modify it though.
Good luck!
