  1. Wiper Towers are the same for 1937 and 1938. 1936 is slighly different but has the same foot print. 1939 are totally different with chain driven internals. I have never found any gaskets for 1936/8 but have made them buy cutting them out of flat rubber strip. Hope this helps.
  2. Jim, I am sure the there were two types of air cleaner used in 1938. I have a short top convertible coupe that was built in early January 1938 and it does not have the provision for a breather tube into the intake manifold. The intake manifold does not have the vent hole and carries an "HB" part number indicating that it is a 1937 part. The car was a low mileage original until torn apart some 35 year ago.
  3. Peecher, thanks for the information. I will investigate to find out if the 1940 Ford will fit. I have Bob Drake's new catalog. Many Thanks.
  4. We are working on a 1937 LZ Coupe in England that was converted to 12 volts many years ago. As the vacuum wiper motor will need replacement does anybody know if any of the 12 volt electric wiper conversions used on Ford V8's will fit the 1937 LZ? The configuration on the LZ is wipers mounted on the cowl and operating "clap hands" direction. Any information would be much appreciated....Thank you.
  5. Hi German37Zephyr I am Colin Spong in London, England and have 1937 LZ's including the one my late father bought 51 years ago. We often travel to the North of Germany to Lubeck...are you anywhere near? Perhaps we could meet? Good Luck with the car.
  6. Hi Schoppi28, This may be too late for you but I have some LZ wheels here in London, England from cars that I dismantled years ago one of which was a 1936. They would need sandblasting and have some rust pitting.Just let me know...good luck with the car. Colin Spong
