  1. This is me in Jan 1943 in Beauford S.C. 1941 Chevy in background I was born on April18 1941 my mother wrote the note on the back of picture, I just discovered the note on the photo ten minutes ago. I was told many years ago that we were inBeauford S.C. because my father was a dredge boat man and was dredging Paris Island slip for USMC You gotta admit I was pretty cute then, went downhill since Ken
  2. Did you check with the engine builder? They might have used a light weight "break in oil" change the oil and filter Use a magnet when you drain the oil to see if you have shavings . cut the oil filter open and inspect it also.. Put a GAUGE in the system or you will never know for sure!!? Ken
  3. I still don,t believe it,s over we just can,t let it die!!
  4. Let me give it a try.My 1930 studebaker President has been for sale for 18 months. It,s listed on three A.A.C.A forums. Classic cars.com---Hemmings. It has been on Pre war.com.and the Antique Automobile magazine. That equals to over 14000 total views. What amazes me the most is the lack of contact except for four people. One potential buyer and I agreed on a price (lower than asking price)$38500 contingent on his inspection.Seemed fair to me!! He backed out the next day. I don,t know if 38500 is an "insane" price or not,but if someone has any interest at all you would think they would say I,m interested in your car at$xxxxx dollars.and we see if we make a deal. This is a AACA Senior and CCCA classic auto.not a project. l have been told on this forum by a couple of people that it,s not priced high enough.Go figure.. Grundy has no problem insuring it for more than my asking price ,they raise the value(and the premium)every year. So here we are!!!I really don't want to go the E Bay route if I can help it,so I will wait it out some more and see where it goes Ken

  9. The Lagniappe chapter of the Louisiana Region just did a national meet in November of 2015 It took almost 2 years to plan and implement the meet. It was a financial success and we helped a lot of charities. We are are small club with app.25 active members We did get help from other chapters in La. Since I posted my question about Gran National judging......... I think maybe a 5 to10 percent limit for GN at a regular meet wouldn't hurt any one first come ,first served. lets see if the GN this years limit of 500 cars is exceeded and by how many.
  10. How about a comparison between Bring A Trailer and E Bay. Not too fond of Pay Pal. I understand you can only list a car once on BAT? It appears BAT has a good format to do business Ken
