The interior is very nice. says damage; burn - engine VIN: ZC2FR1104KB204483 Unfortunately it is located in Hawaii more pictures can be seen at: http://www.copart.com/us/Lot/27489196?searchId=1347445676
  3. The attached file is a video of my 8 valve TC idling. I think it has a nice growl. The exhaust is 2.5 mandrel bent pipe with a magnaflow muffler Exhaust_2.5.mp4
  4. This picture is from the web page of the Swamp Fox Car Club located in Florence SC The site says this 1989 16-valve is owned by Ray and Bonnie Sue Bihary Not an original color, but I like it
  5. There, are sets of 40 lug nuts are available on Ebay. This is a TC item I have not seen on Ebay before. I am not selling them. I bought a set and am glad someone else was able to buy a set. Forty (40) Chrysler OEM lug nuts from the Shelby Automobiles plant in Whittier California. These are take-off parts from brand new Dodge vehicles that were being converted into Shelby vehicles. Will fit other models from 1980's and 1990's http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qty-40-LUG-NUTS-Chrysler-LeBaron-Maserati-TC-Voyager-New-Yorker-GTS-GTC-MoPar-/252320887802?hash=item3abf7f33fa:g:13oAAOSwe7BWzQpm http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qty-40-Shelby-CSX-LUG-NUTS-1987-88-Dodge-Turbo-2-2-Chrysler-Shadow-ES-OEM-MoPar-/252320887808?hash=item3abf7f3400:g:p~gAAOSwG-1WukFD http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qty-40-LUG-NUTS-Dodge-Spirit-Dynasty-Caravan-Rampage-400-600-ES-RT-Ramcharger-/252320887811?hash=item3abf7f3403:g:Ub4AAOSwll1WzQpb
  6. I finally added the plastic wood trim to my cup holder. I think it looks nice. I cut the trim out of a radio bezel using a fine tooth craft saw (picture 4209). I only installed the top three screws. #8 one inch sheet metal screws were used with a half inch OD #8 washer (picture 4190). The bottom screw needs a magnetic screw driver or patience, neither of which I could find today. There is also a 1/4 inch off white nylon space epoxied behind the cup holder at each screw location. Each spacer is 1/2" OD by .252" ID and 1/4" tall. all these parts can be found at your local Ace Hardware The finished product is shown in the last two pictures . now I just need to put my dash board together.
  7. Something that you don't see everyday. There is a green TC for sale in Fontana CA on craigslist (serial # 00735). asking price $5,900 The resister says that serial number is exotic red. http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/5225546914.html
  8. I contacted SIA in Tilden IL today. They no longer repair Tevis brake systems
  9. I have read Hemi's article he posted in Allpar. I am planning to do the conversion on my 89 TC. In the article Hemi used a master cylinder from an 89 LeBaron with four disk brakes marked on the master cylinder. What is the year range of LeBarons that the master cylindar will fit into a TC? There is a 95 LeBaron convertible in the local yard. How can I tell if this unit will work? Thanks
  10. A good document can be found on the thread listed below. I used this document when I replaced the gears on my TC http://forums.aaca.org/f144/speedometer-349390.html
  11. I am wondering, Do you need the whole bracket with 4 window switches with one switch for the door lock or is just one of the switches bad. The button switches are common from other dodge/Chrysler cars from that age group. I have had a single switch go bad in the past. I have plenty of extra switches if you want one. Larry
  12. I was working on the front passenger speaker today. The front passenger speaker was generating a continuous buzzing sound. I replaced it with a passenger speaker from a front passenger speaker from a TC I found in a yard. The buzzing stop. Now I find out that none of the front four speakers work. The buzzing was so loud in the past that I had the knob turned completely to the back to avoid the buzzing as much as possible. Well there is a momentary success. No more buzzing from the front passenger speaker. Now the next question is, what is wrong with the front four speakers? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Larry

  14. There are pictures of the pace car on a different thread http://forums.aaca.org/f144/chrysler-tc-maserati-chief-program-manager-366860.html
  15. Thanks for finding it. The first time I saw it there were more pictures including pictures of the TC in white before the final blue was painted. I do not know what the original color was, the parts in white I was referring to was the hood and body being painted in preparation for the final blue paint job (white primer). The first list also did not have the pictures as a mirrior image.
  16. I saw it earlier today but went back to ebay and could not find it
  17. I would suggest asking this question on on one of the following forums: http://www.turbo-mopar.com/ http://www.turbododge.com/ http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f7/f28/734505-turbo-ii-stage-2-single-module.html
  18. It sounds like you saw one of Mike's 6 modified TCs. I like the roof he covered in microfiber a number of years ago http://forums.aaca.org/showthread.php?t=373203&p=1304725#post1304725 http://forums.aaca.org/showthread.php?t=283270&p=765439#post765439 MIKE KEY ST.LOU
  19. While going to a junk yard Friday I passed by Avanti II for sale on their from lot. The car is in rough condition. Both the front and rear windows have been knocked out. The front bumper has been converted to a Blake style integrated bumper. There have been 327 emblems added to the hood. The hood ornament does not have the S on the black insert. A 3rd brake light has been added to the roof. The car is currently white but the white repaint shows turquoise underneath. Victory Auto Wreckers 710 E. 21. I had luck with the local Chrysler dealer"s parts department for a thermostat bolt. The 89 thermostat bolt is an oddball and will not show up at Ace Hardware. The bolt has threads on both ends with the hex head in the middle. I have an 89 2.2 turbo, but the 90 V6 probably is different. I asked the parts man At Roesch Chrysler in Elmhurst IL. He did not have the bolt that held the thermostat and oil dipstick. He said the part was discontinued, but he search the nationally and found it in a few locations.
  22. I purchased and installed an aluminum 3-core radiator from TurbosUnleashed in October 2012. My TC is a late build 2.2 8-valve TC. The radiator would look original if I would have painted it black. It was not that tough to install. I am not sure if they have any left. but I was allowed to add a radiator to a shopping cart today. The most trouble I had was removing the rusted bolts that connected the intercooler to the radiator. I ended up having to drill out one flat head screw. I got stainless replacements at Ace Hardware or McMaster Carr. The TurbosUnleashed website has a couple of links to Turbo-Mopar show positive reviews and where holes need to be drilled in the mounting bracket. http://turbosunleashed.com/shop/custom-aluminum-radiator-chrysler-titiitiiitiv-p-398.html Larry
  23. You could replace the entire convertible. On Evil-Bay $619.00 (Fox Lake IL) http://www.ebay.com/itm/1989-1991-Chrysler-Maserati-TC-Soft-Top-Assembly-With-Frame-And-Rear-Glass-/161308932131?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item258ec2f823&vxp=mtr The Convertible Top Guys in South Kingstown, RI sell Haartz stayfast canvas in 14 color choices. This is the original material for black tops. Or Chrysler sailcloth vinyltops original material for tan tops, with plastic or glass windows. https://www.convertibletopguys.com/convertible/1030/1987-91-Maserati-TC glass window $280 plastic window $170 At one point I was looking at getting a new convertible top for my Royal Cabernet TC. I was looking into getting a burgundy Haartz stayfast canvas. I thought it would look real nice. The burgundy dream will have to wait until my kids graduate college sometime in the next four or more years.
  24. What is the difference between an 89 2.2turbo FED and a 2.2 turbo CAL? Is there any way the two can be identified from the engine compartment? I was looking at the 88 blue service manual and was unable to find any reference in the vin number and exhaust sections to a California emissions TC and a Federal TC.
