  1. How quickly can you put that top up?
  2. As another note, don't charge the participants an entry fee or if you do, make it a minimal fee, but charge the public to enter and make it as a donation to some local charity. Many meets/shows are becoming outrageous in their entry fees for showing our cars and for that reason I no longer attend them, particularly when the public enters for free.
  3. From an 20's era accessory spot light, either automobile or marine.
  4. Various lamp manufacturers produced their own catalogs yearly and they are at this point difficult to find. Many parts houses of the era also had their own catalogs and these are easier to obtain and provide a good reference as to make, style and price of lamps and other brass era pieces.
  5. That's your opinion, not everybody's and everybody does NOT agree with you.
  6. Then don't be so arbitrary with your deletions!
  7. Yes, there are rules got be followed, but it appears that many deletions are at the whim of the moderator.
  8. Maybe its time to moderate the moderators or delete some of them.
  9. More than one moderator fits those shoes.
  10. Even some of the Selden Patent plates with numbers are fakes. Years ago the individual that was making them stamped numbers on the plates/badges based on the make of cars he had a record of that were of the same make of car and age. There are also several variations of the originals, close, but not exactly the same and not all the reproductions are the same.
  11. It might help if we knew what the spring was from. Someone may have one available.
  12. Bob, those stupid ID plates were used at the Greenwich Concours last year and they created more confusion and un-needed questions than you could possibly imagine. Before the meet I submitted, at their request, a sheet of description and the history of my car which apparently was not what was given when an individual clicked on the QR symbol, when you could see them. They were fastened to the ground in front of the car and people walked all over them. They would have been better placed on a vertical stand in front of or to the side of the vehicle.
  13. Does anyone have a list of which Stewart model vacuum tank was placed on what car make, model or year(s)?
  14. To the immediately shown poster, properly sized, adjusted and fit wind wings help tremendously in rain storms.
  15. Is that for a 4 or 5 bow top? Is it specifically for a Studebaker?
  16. Where are you located? State and city.
  17. For heat, I would use a hot air blower similar to a woman's hair dryer before a torch of any kind.
  18. And if you were good at "spitting tacks" you could hold three different sizes in your mouth.
  19. Bob, The car is a 1910 Houpt-Rockwell built in Bristol, Ct.
  20. Those are Fisk tires, rims, lock rings and wheels. Extremely expensive.
