It has been upgraded with the dress up items from the passenger cars. These include front bumper, front fenders and side trim, fender lights and trim around window openings. Truck has a AMC straight six engine and transmission in it right now. And it may run, I have not tried to start it since I purchased it. I am including in the sale a complete 308 Hudson Hornet Twin H engine and transmission. That can be installed in the truck to keep it all Hudson. This is a very nice project to start with, it is very complete. Only missing the front seat, please contact me for more pictures and information about this truck. [hidden information]. Hudson is not a choice when listing this for sale. I know it is not a Ford." Not mine.

  3. New price. A couple new photos I think. Now $13,500. Not mine. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1376137676466161/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A534949d1-b940-4b45-89a2-8b92e4366b37
  4. My own '52 Saratoga club coupe is half that mileage, the identical "Mint Green" factory paint, was built in Nov of '51 and has completely different upholstery. So I'm curious about the seats in this car. I've seen a couple other original '52 'Togas with my style material.
  5. Wonderful big old "bomber". Had a '69 Dodge this color then called "B3 Med. Blue poly" and all women just loved the color. Low miles so this is a wonderful driving hobby car, IMHO.
  6. We've talked and talked about this car. This is its second thread since it was first advertised! Everyone seems to like it quite positively. I agree, but am probably close to 2000 miles from going to see it. Has ANYONE actually GONE TO SEE the car and can report on it?
  7. Just noticed the windshield wipers on this 1934 car are mounted BELOW the windshield on the cowl. Very surprised any manufacturer was doing so this early as almost all windshields were openable from the bottom out!
  8. I have been aware of this seller for numerous years. Tried to do business with him early on regarding an engine. I'd best restrain my comment and just go with the classic "BUYER BEWARE". Got it?
  9. After WWII Hudson again offered "Super 8" model series cars in 1946 through 1950. Did Packard drop their challenge? Or had the rights to the name expired somehow?
  10. Chrysler stores had a long relationship with Carter fuel filters with the ceramic filter elements that were incredibly efficient. Occassional models, such as the mid 50s dual quad 300 Letter Cars, received a pair of the shorter glass bowl type in production. Dealer service depts. added many of these over the years. While I'd suggest she is seeing one of these, in the long bowl type, suspended at the carburetor fuel intake fitting, count me in on some sort of anxiety if there are more than one (she says "filters") made of glass(!) handling oil under that hood. But then, there were some really strange aftermarket things offered by JC Whitney, Western Auto and Pep Boys at times. So, never say never!
  11. Appears to be the same car? https://classiccars.com/listings/view/942291/1938-lincoln-zephyr-for-sale-in-essex-junction-vermont-05452
  12. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/730414961758060/?hoisted=false&ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post 1938 Lincoln Zephyr Town Sedan Limousine. This is an amazing example showing only 35,000 miles. This car is almost completely original. The interior is all original and the exterior is mostly original paint with only a small amount of touch up. The car runs and drives like new and everything works as it should. Only 130 of these were made with very few remaining. The Zephyr is powered by a V12 flathead engine with hydraulic lifters that produces enough power to make the car capable of 90mph. Not mine. True division glass limousine. How many '38 Zephyr limos were built?
  13. Good morning. Would like to correspond directly with you. Will try a private message (email). Thanks. I assume that is Charles Justice, who had Spohn built the Custom on a new '47 Cadillac chassis to his preferences.

  15. Jumping in here with my own experience of a very similar car I had: a '79 Dodge Magnum GT. Same body, 360 engine, also lean burn, happened to have an optional leather interior. The mileage was approaching six figures as I recall. California full life car so zero moisture concerns. Bought it off the curb in next town over where it had very obviously sat for months. The lean burn had it just barely running on 5 cylinders. Seller and I literally chugged to a nearby car wash so I could look at the paint under the settled smog. As a home mechanic, I replaced wires and plugs and played with induction and distributor and it did run VERY WELL from then on! The only leather problem (med-dark blue) was the center console lid and Just Dashes refurbished that perfectly. The car had not been maintained mechanically but I only recall doing very minor other items like a couple of wheel cylinders, bought a pair of tires, that sort of thing. Seller refused to include the 8 track tapes stuffed into the console!!! Granted Chrysler Corp was at a low point with the government bailout of their bankruptcy coming this year. But my personal experience driving this car on SoCalif freeways was excellent. A "Magnum Club" guy from Louisiana flew in with cash and literally 24 hours later called me from home to say his trip was trouble free. I do not remember getting very good mileage but the car drove like it was on rails (I think it had HD anti-sway bars in the GT package). Hey, I like that subject Cordoba a LOT and were I in the market, I would pursue further information for my interest.
  16. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/944947850229720/?hoisted=false&ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post "Seller's Description A very clean Hudson appears to still have the original paint, original interior. Odometer showing 44,000 also appears to be original. New this week just for safety all new wheel cylinders, master cylinder rubber break lines. This 1947 is undoubtedly one of Hudson's better designs. Runs and drives as it should. The engine is quiet and 3 speed column shift transmission seems fine also. Oh and most importantly she is as RUST FREE as you can get. Perfect undercarriage, trunk, floors and inner rockers. Thanks for looking. IF THE AD IS UP ITS STILL AVAILABLE. FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHT 864- FIFTYNINE 74" This one appears to be a heckuva bargain. Almost "too good to be true". Yes, to my H-trained eye, car appears very authentic and correct and original in all aspects. Could be the steal of the year (we're only 10 days into '23). NOT MINE. Is the word "brake" no longer in use in English? Almost never see it. Always "break" now.
  17. Having been around Hudsons a lot over my years, I'd say that IS the original leather. Any time there are any visible rust holes in a unibody (Mono-Bilt) stepdown Hudson frame structure, there is cause for concern, however the rocker panels look really excellent where shown. Car needs a personal inspection for sure but the price for a convertible is very attractive. And if anyone goes looking, a HORNET 308 block distinguishes itself by the extra external crankcase reinforcement about 3" above the oil pan rail front to back. Hudson did not offer a "white" so either this was repainted or the factory pale yellow is being mistaken under the dirt of storage decades. Stuck clutch? --- as you all know these cars have oil-filled cork clutches and yes, absolutely the discs stick very badly with lack of use. Just a very few cork clutch rebuilders out there these days.
  18. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/443527074560525/ "For sale is a very rare ( 1 of 427) 51' hudson super six convertible. Has been stored indoors. I bought it for parts but turns out I can't use them. Motor has been replaced with a later 308 which runs well. 3 speed trans. Clutch is stuck. Not a big deal. Will need some rust repair but overall isn't bad. Interior is decent. Top is dry but seems intact. Rolls freely. Asking $12500 bo. These cars finished are $75k+ easily. Contact Jim." Not Mine. Garage storage photos. Bought a convertible as a parts car??
  19. These postings in this forum are not advertising. Purity and righteousness standards require omniscient judging. That has yet to exist in car clubs. Sure we try, but never totally succeed. A fools errand when all we want to do is make others aware of cars out there somewhere that might be of interest to fellow collectors. And most surely tire construction and wheel covers that can all be changed out in half an hour by the next owner should not be determinant of whether a car can appear, IMHO.

  22. Really unfortunate about the quarter panel damages on this Packard. NOT MINE. But is there a better original example of these out there? 1953 PACKARD HENNEY JUNIOR AMBULANCE COMBINATION CAR Original car, grey with red interior; one of 180 produced for general public in 1953 Original paint, interior, floor mats, hub caps…… Mileage 61728 miles Model 2633, vin 2633 2261 with original 1953 ownership Appraisal in 2009 describes it as a very rare car In service Missouri 1953- 1971, storage 1972 – 2004; Ontario 2004 to date Engine.. 288 flat head 8 cylinder, changed in 2004, runs good but needs a tuneup; 6 volt with some wiring replaced Suffered body damage to both rear quarter panel back in 1971 but was not repaired. There is NO rust Not winter driven, no rust except small hole in both rocker panels Glass good—aged Tires new, 400 miles ; original molds, bias ply Upholstery and headliner original and very good (exceptional for its age) Chrome and nickel 1973 quality Manual 3 on tree and differential good Brakes good Siren works Many small parts, service manuals, model car, owners manual History Documents Movie star Proper style Baumgardner stretcher, O2 brackets and new casket table. Window grills and curtains This car originally belonged to “The Canada Funeral Home” and so has CANADA script on both sides Car runs and drives very well
  23. From the ebay ad: Interior is in excellent condition It was all redone with all brand new interior
  24. Note the model is not given. Seller wants to deceive you into thinking it may be a Hemi New Yorker. In fact it is a Windsor, bottom of the heirarchy, with a poly head motor. While all Chrysler products are more "rare" than Ford or GM cars, a Windsor wagon is not scarce to MoPar buffs. Decent looking example at a reasonable price. The modern hot rod headlamps scare me as to other details. If we knew what city of the FB Marketplace has it listed, we could learn more?
