My Reatta has been very hesitant to shift out of first until it reaches operating temp. I just tried the Sea Foam and had next day major improvement. Fingers are crossed that it just cleaning and is not in the process of killing the o rings and seals.

On advice from this forum I drained and refilled after about 2 weeks. No damage as of yet. This was about 8 months ago that I did this.

I'm not a fan of automotive cures in a bottle, but Seafoan Trans Medic cured a dead (acted as in neutral when in DRIVE) on a '93 Eldo I had. Made me a believer.

When you say "drain", did you just drop the pan ( 3 quarts ) or pump the system through the cooler lines?

I will try it tonight. My new '89 just started slipping in gear. No problems at all when cool.
