My passenger side window switch stopped working in the down mode. Seeing as how it wasn't on "my" side I let it go for a couple of weeks. Yesterday I was at the local u-pull yard and thought to grab one. I could not see any disconnect in the line so I grabbed the whole harness. When I got it home I still couldn't see how to disconnect it so I just took my old unit apart, cleaned up the contacts and swapped out the face plate. The switch is fixed, but for future reference how do you disconnect the switch from the leads?

I would assume that the only way is to reach inside the door guts and find where the switch harness plugs into the main harness. Disconnect there. I thought the switch came with a mini harness. I could be wrong, but I just disassembled one and that is what I found.

My window switch is located on the console. I am talking about disconnecting it at that point.

Harness simply unplugs at the back of the switch. If I was lucky a photo of the back of the switch is attched.

Correct. I brain flatulated. I was thinking of seat switches.
