Even though Joseph Barbera died in 2001, I personally believe that he had a heavy hand in designing the new Camaro... or at least it was his pen that did the grille. He pulled out a picture of "Bingo," a 1960s character on the hit children's television show, "Banana Splits," and imitated that goofy smile right into the Camaro's front end.

Man, that's a stretch.

(bye the way, I think the new Camaro is butt ugly and I grew up in the 70's.

It was at Carlisle All-GM last month. Not impressed. We all know what GM will do with it; they'll price it out of reach of its target market and then wonder why they can't sell it.

I have a good friend who is a longtime Camaro enthusiast. He looked the car over at All-GM and told the GM staff attending it they were going to have a hard time selling that car.

I agree. Bill Mitchell is probably about to spin out of his grave at what GM's current crop of anime stylists have done to what was once a sharp car.
