On one of our '90 converts I found that the trunk light was staying on and drawing on the battery

You may have to copy and paste each of these links in to your browser, when I posted this response the links did not generate?
First Link will answer the question about test result;

And then this one on battery drain;

Only personal experience I've had with a similar complaint was with my Driving Lamp(s) circuit. I used to just leave them turned on for "daytime" running lights, and they went off automatically with the ignition switch. Then I started having the dead battery syndrome. Park the car, and after a couple of weeks in my case the battery would be "ded".
Did the same thing, replaced the battery and then again under warranty, and then by coincidence switched off the driving lights and the problem went away?
One of these days I'll chase thru the circuit and look at relay(s) Suspect there's an issue with one somewhere?
