I know a person that has a 30 Buick 4 door that can not find the location of the Vin number. Can anyone help?

According to a book I have, the serial numbers are located on the right side of frame behind front fender opening. Engine numbers on crankcase.

My '29 McLaughlin Buick has all the ID information on a plate on the cowl.
