Hey Steph, I always go to the fuseable links first. I think a grey wire feeds that circuit.. Lou

Me too, but thought I would throw it out as someplace else to look if the link was OK

Give me a heads-up on this fusible link thing. Is there anything else that this fusible link links to besides the radio? Where is this fusible link?

OK BeeBee,,
From the positive battery cable end there is a kinda heavy wire that goes behind the battery.. It goes to a torpedo shaped push on connector.. make shure this connection is clean & tight.. from there it goes to a multiple connector of about 8 connections of different colored wires. These wires are about 6" long. These are the fuseable links.. I use a test light with a very sharp probe and check both ends of these wires for juice. These wires feed the whole car.. even the fuses on the fuse panel go thru here first. Sometimes more than 1 link feeds a circuit. and I have found the circuit will almost work with one wire link bad; but with lower than perfect voltage. Good Luck, Lou

Two power wires feed your radio. One is large, the other is small (to remember settings). Car_chick is right:

Both of these wires depend on a solid ground. If you are seeing voltage, and the radio doesn't work, either the radio is bad, or your ground (or power) is disconnected. You said the clock comes up, so you may have a loose or corroded connection.

After reading about two fuses, I decided to look in the big book to find the elusive little rascal . Found it blown. Replaced it. Radio on line again. Three fuses for one radio. WOW! Thanks.
