I'm looking to purchase a Reatta from a private party (1990, about 125,000 miles). Can someone tell me a "Top 5" or "Top 10" list of things that I really need to check out on the car before deciding whether to purchase it? I'm having a local Buick dealer give it a once-over next week, and want to highlight a couple of things for them - although they said they are familiar with the car.

(Among some things the seller has indicated: the headlight motors don't work, the dash sometimes goes out and flashes "E," the car was repainted in the last couple of years, not sure if the A/C was converted to 134a, the sunroof sometimes needs help closing, and the car needs a tuneup).

Thank you in advance for your help.

Windshield, brakes.
Unless you know exactly what the problem is, beware of "Needs a tuneup".

Cradle Bushings as mentioned in a post below this. If in the rust belt, failure can be catastrophic. Motor mounts

Brakes as mentioned: Do both red brake and yellow ABS come on and go off in a reasonable time. First start up may be as long as 20-30 seconds. After that, almost immediate. Others can direct you to the brake test, and I suggest that you perform it before purchase. You can post the results and they can be diagnosed here.
