That group number (4.634) is listed for "BRAKE PEDAL ROD - BRACKET" in my 1964 parts book. The part number doens't appear there, or in my 1964 price schedule (used to identify group numbers from just the part number).

Are the two side by side center holes tapered for a tie rod end?

"Motor's" book calls it "Intermediate Steering Arm". My 1938 book is close with #1298664 for 1938-39 Cad-Pont-Olds. I bet you might find your #1298621 in a 1935-37 book.
