Hello,

I have a 1988 Reatta. I could smell something burning in the instrument cluster area the other day. Shortly after that my headlights went out. When I pulled the switch pod out the harness was melted, at the top and also the area on the switch where the yellow wire attaches.

I would appreciate any help with this problem. I am sure I am not the first to experience this.

Thanks!!

The same thing happened to me at 80 MPH (lost headlights). Bad connection to the switch (melted), replaced the switch after cleaning the connections. It has been trouble free for 4 years now.
