A friend is looking for that cardboard panel that sits against the firewall below the dashboard (inside the car). My 1930's parts manual calls it the "dash silencer and trimboard". This was similar in many, many different types of cars in the 1930's. I remade mine many years ago with a piece of cardboard from Restoration Supplies.

Does anyone re-make these nowadays, for cars of different makes? Or just for specific makes? Or is it every man for himself?

They are available for some 50's and up GM cars. They use ABS plastic. Looks good and lasts a long time. Not sure about the older stuff. I'll need one for my 56 Chrysler but like lots of MoPar stuff no repo's available. Mine's pretty simple so I'll be making one........bob
