Hi all. Ellie isn't going for an extreme makeover, but I would like to get her judged next year in Colorado Springs. To that end, there are some odds and ends that could help her score higher. I'll use this post / thread for a wish list and update as time moves on.

  • wheels - I haven't talked to my mechanic yet as to whether or not something is available repro-wise, but I want to have a complete set so I can put on bias ply tires myself
  • interior coat / hat hooks
  • interior light lenses (near back window) - I have something that may fit, but haven't had a chance to check them out
  • steering wheel - not sure if it is unique to the Custom or not, but there's a metal rim inset on the face - black is my need

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. I'm sure there is more, but I haven't been able to bring her home from storage yet this spring, so haven't been able to go over things with a fine-toothed comb.

I still have to figure out what to do with the trunk as it is bare paint right now. I should also probably replace the battery cables, but those shouldn't be too tough to find.

Thanks.

Are you acquainted with Wild Bill Burton in Indiana?

Adam - I can't say that I've ever heard of him.

Mike - thanks, e-mail sent.

I remembered just now that the front driver's wheel well trim is damaged as well.

Derek, if you're registered on v8buick.com, the check out the user "Topcat". He lives in Indiana, and has a few (billion) 66 parts.

Derek,

Bill, AKA "Topcat," is a great guy to deal with and has oodles of Buick parts. BTW, you qualify for the WOT, Wildcat Owner's Team. I believe Mitch Romanowski has proper repro caps and does have lug nuts for those rims. He advertises in the Bugle.
