I'm unable to identify this radiator hose with confidence.
It has Fomoco script, and engineering number "COMM 8260A".
Gates number tagged "CH164".
It is 1-3/4" I.D. at both ends, 11-1/8" long.
A friend with a Gates book says it fits 62-65 Fairlane V8 and 64-65 Falcon V8.
Group 8260 is for an upper radiator hose. However, all my references tell me the models named use 1-1/2" upper hoses.
Wish I knew how to decode the engineering numbers!

C is for the decade this being 60's, 0 is for the year this being 1960, M is for Mercury after 1958 and the second M is for performance division. This is an upper rad hose for a 1960 Mercury.

I did know that. Problem is, these are engineering numbers, not part numbers. The 2nd character is the letter "O" , not the numeral zero.
The little I've been able to find out is that the 3rd character "M" may be Mercury; but the 4th character is a "source" code.
