Turn off the climate control. Then press the off and warm buttons at the same time. Then follow the prompts.

I did the off and warm, and I got about 6 code that said they were history. The computer still tells me it has encountered and electrical problem.

Is that a question or a statement?
If the codes are history they are followed by an "h". If you have active codes they will be numbers followed by a "c". I would write down the nubers both with the h or c and report back.If you need help you will need to tell us what you need.

I guess it was a question and a statement. I turn on the car and drive around town, and the (crt?) comes on and tells me the computer has encountered and electrical problem. I thought that if it would show me a code, I could ask what the code meant, but as I said, all the codes said they were history. It's aggrevating to drive around with that crt coming on constantly.

OK this is what happened to me. I was getting the exact same thing with my '89. It turned out to be my Sevice Engine Soon [SES]idiot light. Watch the dash during the light show. If the idiot SES light does not come on that is the problem. Replace the bulb[88/89 years only].

One of the history codes may have existed just long enough to cause the crt to give the electical problem notice.

I'd clear the history codes and wait for the electrical problem message to appear again. If it does, I'd look at the codes and look for problems in that area no matter if the codes were current or history but were caused by an intermittent problem.

Okay, I'll try again and see what happens. I'll report tomorrow. The red SES light does come on when the crt gives me the message. I'll try getting the codes again and will report tomorrow. Thanks for all the input. Really appreciate it.

I had one doing that. It turned out to be a bad connector at the C2 connector, a large gang connector under the air cleaner. The one hot wire to the fans was burning off/melting. It was a direct lead from the fuesable link. Took connector apart and cleaned it, and no issues since. This was also likely the problem with my fans not operating properly since when I cleaned this connector, my car has never overheated again since.
