Hi all,I need some info on the bumper brackets and braces for a 1971 442. I worked on these cars when they were new and I know the brackets were natural stamped steel. But when ordered as a replacement they were chassis black. so my question is what is the acceptable color to paint them for restoration and judging. Also i'm having a hard time finding a heat riser tube that fits the 71 w-30 engine.Any one know of one that fits as I keep buying the one for a 455 from the aftermarket and they dont fit.

I WOULD STRIP THE BRACKETS AND KEEP THEM NATURAL STEEL BY LOW OR NO GLOSS CLEAR COAT. THIS WAY THEY WONT RUST AND LOOK ORIGINAL . AS FOR THE HEAT TUBE, I CANT HELP .
