I don't know much about this era of Buick, will a 1933 grille fit a 1930 hood and cowl without a lot of adapting? thanks in advance

No, sorry, not even close. Do a Google image search for both years and you'll see that in 1930, the cars were upright and very boxy and by 1933, they were starting to become streamlined. Adapting that grille to a 1930 would probably cost more than buying a complete 1933 Buick.
