HELLO, I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE TORQUE SPEC MAY BE FOR A STRAIGHT 8, CYLINDER HEAD. THE CAR IS A 38 SPECIAL SIERES 40 4DR SEDAN.I HAVE A MANUAL BUT IT IS NOT MUCH HELP WITH THE FACTORY STEPS. I CURRENTLY HAVE IT DOWN TO 40 ft.lbs. BUT WOULD LIKE A TRUE SPEC. AND NOT THE USE A 9 INCH WRENCH FACTORY METHOD.PLEASE HELP THANK YOU.

Hi,
a motor manual that I have that is covering all american cars between 1940-1955 specifies the head torque on the straight 8 as well as the V8 to 65-70 Lbs.Ft. I think this is applicable on the -38 as well.
